never head of this danger before

However, sorry everyone, do not drink alcohol while you smoke. The combination of alcohol and smoke is not just a linear risk, but exponential. This is a huge mistake most smokers make. The alcohol destroys the flora and protective lining of mucus in the mouth. Then the hot smoke will directly come in contact with the unprotected mouth lining. Drink alcohol only after you smoke.

:D @ Brad. I'm the same way. The two heavily combined greatly increases chances of esophageal cancer. My dad was an alcoholic and heavy smoker, and it got him.

Sorry to hear about your dad, my dad was a heavy smoker and at times drinker. He ended up having a heart attack and quit cold turkey. that was close to 20 years ago and he's still going strong. I always hid my smoking from him because I picked up his preference for Kools and it would have bummed him out to know that I got started around 30 years ago pinching his cigs.

Thanks Brad. Been 11 years but I still miss him. I quit the booze 4 years ago, because like him once I started I couldn't stop. Good to hear your dad quit, mine tried many times but the combination just had too much of a hold on him I guess. I do understand though as this time of year looking at that frosty beer always makes me thirsty, and probably always will.

Not sure, but I will point it out anyway; Smoking is different than vaping. IF I understand the OP; smoke and heat + (beer?) is a problem...although in all my years I've never encountered this, but I digress.
E-cig vapor has nothing of cigarette smoke, but Nicotine, and vapor is the same temp as the human body.
This leads me to think vapor + beer is not a problem. This is probably a good thing since I like a smoke (or now a days vape) with my beer :)

Oh maybe you're right, I thought it was cigs and not vaping that he was referring to. I guess I should have read the article :oops: I just had 1st hand experience with what I thought was the topic.

Well, to be honest... if you're smoking, I really think this is not the biggest of your problems.

I used to tell people who would tell me smoking is bad "No, really? I thought it counted as one of my 5-a-day of fruits and veggies."

Sorta the same concept here. If they were that concerned with their health, they wouldn't do it in the first place. And in terms of what's likely to kill you that's smoking-related, this is not at the top of the list.

it has been repeated over and over again on ECF that although they considered themselves vapors, when they are out with their buddies drinking beer they prefer smoking real cigarettes

==============

July 24 smoked 02 cigs, 38 less than my usual 40 cigs a day 2846 cigarettes not smoked in 82 days by using Stonewall, Joye 510, Hello 016, Ken's BoxMod, MadVapes 2xAA Box Mod, WetBox Vaporizer (ecig) and 19 bottles of ejuice partially used , $0.28 per cig X 2846 Cigs = $796.88 diverted from cigarettes to Vaporizer (ecig). OMG I have spent over $1671.51 in 74 days on this stuff but bare in mind that my old cigarette cost was $330 a month and i have $790 in supplies so $880 in hardware and consumed ejuice

Who's "they"? I don't. Ruins the taste of my beer.

All the same... Like I said, it's not really the top of the list if you smoke.

Drinking beer with my KR8 goes very well together...and I don't have to go outside in heat to enjoy them. Didn't think I could have a beer (or three) without an analog, but I haven't wanted or needed an analog....whether I was drinking beer or not. The old taste buds are working like they are supposed to, so everything is tasting better - including the beer!:toast:
