I love this board but think topics get moved to certain areas and die there. I recently posted about help for a rebuildable atty. I received 5 responses on it then it was moved to assorted PV topics and I received none since then. Maybe we can come up with a time frame for a topic before it gets moved or something like that. I find myself coming on the board and look to help the newbie out there and check the general board area. I go to the other area very rarely, i wonder how many others do the same? I just think that when you need help the response is so much better in the top 2 sections, general and newbie. Any Suggestions or am I just going to get in trouble for this minor complaint?

I think some things do get moved unnecessarily but in general I understand the need to keep subjects in the proper forum or the General E-Smoking forum would be pushing thread off the front page faster than folks could read them. It is just a matter of learning the forums and checking them according to what subject you are looking for. Using the search engine is a good first step in finding info pertaining to the subject you are interested in.

And you are right...many don't read further than 2 or 3 main forums...sad because if they did they could really contribute even more.

Opinion here, purely opinions:
Personally, I pop around everywhere that interests me. Tech help, rba, Nationals, here, diy, newbs, etc. There's people active all over, it's possible your question was answered and nobody had anything left to add?

IMO: it shouldn't be up to the mods to move topics where they belong, the topics should be started in the appropriate locations from the get go. Just because a reply is wanted right away doesn't mean it should just be plopped in the popular sections in hopes that it won't be moved.

You won't get in trouble for this thread, though it may be moved to site feedback subforum.

It's not a minor complaint. If we want an answer, makes sense that we'd want our thread in the section with the most traffic. I think we've all felt that way from time to time. If you have a thread that was moved and you didn't get a response, contact the mod that moved it. Many times it's actually to try to help the OP get more feedback if it's in the proper place. So vets, visit other sections! :p

It'd be a mess if there were no subforums. If I'm looking for help with cartomizers, for example it's easier to skim through the cartomizer subforum looking for an answer. We have to have a bit of organization.

I think we're pretty lenient about this. If you look through the posts, you'll see tons of posts that haven't been moved that could be moved. Usually we wait for a few responses before it's moved and it's always moved with a visible redirect. Most often it's fellow members that that complain about off topic posts in the wrong section.

If your thread died a slow death without answers where it was moved, contact a mod.

Guys, this was not meant to get people ......, it was meant to maybe take a look at how long a post sits on general board before it gets moved. That is all. I have never and did not intend this to be negative in any way. Just a suggestion. You come to this board for answers not to try all other things like you tube and such. This is the best knowledge out there.
