That looks sick! But what I look for in a mod really doesn't have much to do with price it's more the less portability for me, something fairly priced is all I really ask. I don't mind paying for quality. Just don't want something huge, slacks and dress shirt nearly everyday to work so something that won't look like I'm carrying around a cell phone like Gordon gecko in Wall Street 1 haha
All dual 18650 mods are on the bigger side. If you haven't tried temp control it's worth trying depending how you vape it has it's benefits. I'm not to much of a fan of it myself. I like more of a warm vape tanks about 45-65w, RDA's around 55-80W and sometimes can end up into 120w's depending on the build.

There's a lot if choices out there here's what you should look at imo.

Single battery 18650 mods: Needs atleast 2batterys + charger imo.
IPV D2 75W, has temp control. 45~60$
Sigelei 75w, has temp control. 50~70$
Vaporshark dna 40 v2, 40w has temp control. 100-130$
Yihi sx Mini M class. 60w has temp control 180-200$

Internal/lipo battery mods. USB/Wall charge.
Joytech Evic VT, 60W has temp control. 50-70$
Istick TC 40W, has temp control. 30-45$
Istick 50W, 30-40$ (I use 1 as my beach/bar mod).

Things to get you building your own coils.
1.Needle nose pliers or ceramic tweezers.
2.Scissors.
3.Micro screwdriver set. Like this Stanley 66-052 6-Piece Precision Screwdriver Set - Laptop Screw Driver - Amazon.com
4.Wire cutters or toenail clippers.
5:Wicking: Organic Cotton or better yet, Koh Gen Do.
6:Wire: Nichrome80 or kanthal A1 wire 28-24g for regular wattage. Ni200 wire 32-28g for temp control.
Nichrome80/kanthal A1 wire:I personally stick to 26g or 24g for normal compact coils. 28g if twisted or claptoned.
Ni200: 30g aims more at dual coils, 28g also a dual coil option. 28g or 26g if single coil. 32g for twisted coils.

My standard build for zephyrus is 24g 10wraps around a 2mm screwdriver. On the art side of it, 28g claptoned with 36g or twisted 28g.

Don't let it overwhelm you, your really just wrapping a wire around a screwdriver. Inserting coil/tighten it down. Cutting off excess wire. Heating it then pinching it with pliers/tweezers. Might take some time when you 1st start. But after some time/practice a dual coil will be more in the ~5min range.
Use youtube to get better knowledge of doing it.

I have the iPV4 and like it a lot. It's my first regulated mod, so I can't offer a comparison to others. But I've had it for almost 2 months now and don't have a single complaint. Length and width-wise, it's smaller than my cell phone and it's about an inch thick. Fits nicely in my hand and back pocket and it's comfortable to hold. You can pick one up for around $65 - $70ish these days with a coupon code.
Picking a mod is a personal choice thing though. Figure out what features you want. Then look into the tanks you like and see what the recommended wattage is. Then look at the forum suppliers tab and search the reputable vendors for something that looks good to you. When you find it, check out Vapecrawler It does the price shopping for you. Just tyoe in what you are looking for and it will find the best prices and coupon codes so you don't have to hunt for a deal.

Think he wants smaller? There about the same size left to right. Ipv4, Ipv3 li vr, Istick 50w(think is what more he's looking for size wise?)

Price isnt really what concerns me I'm really just trying to find something well known and reliable, I like being able to change my own batteries so that's something I'd prefer to stick with and I love the kanger I have but when I bought it the coils were vertical and for some reason kanger resorted back to horizontal coils and won't run good over 30w :( that's really my only complaint at this point...

Huh? Really?

I'd be surprised if Kanger "reverted" back to horizontal coils. I assume you're just having issues finding the vertical coils locally.

vaping has become my new addiction.... Been vaping for a little while now started with the Atlantis v1 and a 50w box mod.... Recently purchased the kanger Subtank mini v2 black edition and don't get me wrong I love it but my dilemma is I gave my old set up to a friend of mine to get him away from cigs (good karma right? [emoji14]) so now I want to in the near future purchase a secondary set up to have 2 setups on hand.... Not looking to spend crazy money but something in the same price range as my kanger set-up.....

I'm not at this point ready to get into rebuilds so what should I look into my fellow vapers?

Yeah, but he said external batteries, not LiPo's. If he's running a sub tank on a single 18650, he's gonna be changing out batteries a couple of times a day at least.
My 1st post was saying to just buy a nice 2 18650 mod, to prevent wanting to upgrade every few weeks/months. I think he should go into a vape shop and look at sizes, most single 18650 mods are going to be about the same height as a dual battery box with them just being wider. Like i wouldn't wanna be running with it in my pocket, but fits fine in my pockets personally. I could see it being a issue if your trying to put it in a pocket tee shirt or some tight jeans tho, lol.

Discount Vapors (@The Eciginator link) as well as Sweet-Vapes & MyFreedomSmokes (the two links I gave you) are all trusted ECF Forum suppliers.
Aweso! Thank you very much. I'm going to go to a cape shop in the area I'm working in today and check to see if they have them in stock and if they don't I'll resort to ordering offline.... Pros and cons of being from New York transplanted down south.... My New York mentality wants what it wants and it wants it right now!!!
