What the hell? Juice leaking into battery?

So I'm borrowing a White Rhino which has one of those slim bottom coil tanks. It was working fine until I put some new juice in there and screwed it back together. Tried to take a hit and there was a weird gurgling sound. I unscrew it and see that the juice is actually coming out of the little hole on the bottom and leaking into where you screw it into the battery. ... why is this happening? I think I'm in trouble. :(

sounds like an oring or seal isnt doing its job...over tightening things can cause problems.... check the coil assembly to see if it is snug in the base and check the oring/seal where the coil assy seats against the air tube in the tank. Also, since you mentioned a new juice, is it thinner than the previous juice viscosity wise??

Does your set-up look something like this?

hmm, could of pressure flooded it, if so, try to clear it by blowing through the tip and into a tissue.

Yes over tightening the atty, can cause twisted coil wires, creating hot spots, singeing wick and promoting flooding. Yep, that can happen too, time for a new coil head, or disposable atomizer if that happens.

Does the inside top of the battery look like this? Does it have a solid piece with a hole?

And the part that hold the juice that you screw onto the battery, does it have a bottom like this?

Um no I think that looks different. There's no hole in the battery. The bottom of tank in your pic looks similar I guess but it's not the same. It's called the mini I think.

Sorry I'm having trouble posting. Tried to post with quote and it wouldn't let me because there was a link in your quote. lol

My biggest concern was if the battery was unsealed - had a hole in the center of the battery contact. You usually see that when a device is an automatic, that it fires when you inhale.

Getting juice on the battery contact is not a big deal if it sealed, there is nowhere for it to go. You just wipe it off with a paper towel and q-tip if you have one. You haven't done any damage to the battery.

Now let's figure out what was on top.

This was a comment posted below the video,

"Mine came with an instruction book as well as instructions on the box, it says to disconnect the battery before filling the tank and wipe the excess fluid before reattaching, but it immediately starts dripping quite a bit out of the bottom for a minute. If you leave it attached while filling it, it leaks out the air intake but stops after a minute. It gets a burnt metallic taste if the fluid level gets below the two holes towards the bottom, and the battery runs out after about two tanks. It's not bad, I'd just recommend filling the tank in a shot glass or something so you can get your dripped fluid back."

I also wondering if it was possible that when you fill it, so fluid got down the center airflow tube. That would definitely cause leaking from the bottom.

Yeah that's it! I'm so glad I didn't break it. Almost all the juice leaked right out of it. Now here's the weird part: where that super thin area in the tank where the juice goes at the bottom still has juice in it, and it vapes like a dream. It tastes so good, but now I'm afraid to put more juice in it! I'll get a few more puffs out of it though. lol It's called Vapin Plus Blueberry. Sorry I can't watch the video because for some reason my pc absolutely refuses to play youtube vids. I can try to view it on my phone though.

Should I leave the battery on when I refill it? You fill it from the top.

In the comment I posted above, the person suggests taking the tank off the battery to fill it and wiping of any excess juice that comes out, before screwing it back on. With thin top filling tanks it's easy to get juice down the center airflow tube, unless you use a needle-top cap or syringe.

It's not a very good video, as far as information. It was just the first one that came up.

Yeah I had the needle top cap and I unscrewed the battery before I refilled the tank and I was extremey careful not to get juice in the center tube. lol I guess this is to be expected when you put thin liquid into the mini. Thanks for all your help!

It's something that happens to all of us. :)
