What to buy?

Sorry if this is the wrong section, I usually post in the new members forum but I seem to not be allowed to anymore

So I get paid tomorrow and will have a little extra after bills, any recommendations on what to get?

For my first RDA was going to get either the Igo-w or Igo-t? Or if anyone can suggest something else to check out.

Going to get some ekowool 2mm and some 32 gauge kanthal? I'm using an mvp 2 and I wan't to make my coils 1.5 ohm or higher resistance, would 32 gauge be appropriate for this? Will also get some organic cotton to try out.

Was also thinking about getting a new tank, maybe the davide. I bought the protank 2 not long ago and couldn't get it to wick properly, then I overtightened it and chipped the pyrex tank so I will be also getting a replacement glass to give it another shot. Might also try rebuilding the coils with new wicks in hopes of it working better


Or if you can think of anything else I should get please let me know

RDA that you're gonna get, if you plan to build single coil go for igo-l, if dual then igo-w, the resistance wire 30g should better than 32g, if you shoot for say 1.5 ohm with 32g you can only do like 3-4 wrap but with 30g you can do more wrap and the flavor is better IMO.

Im going to start with single coils but plan on moving up to duals as soon as I get comfortable with it. Shouldnt I just spend the extra dollar or so for the w since I can do both single and dual with it?

btw if you are new to building get a multimeter or an ohms checker you can screw the atty onto. Making sure of what ohms you have and that there are no shorts is very important.

Protank/evod heads are a good place to start rebuilding. Super easy to do.

I have a couple of IGO-Ls and love them. Really simple to build and the large build platform is great for beginners.

Hunt down baditudes blogs. Learn what you need to know about batterys. When rebuilding it is critical to always have the capabilities of your batteries firmly in mind. So you have no tragic accidents.

I'll be using the ohm checker on my mvp2 for now, and I will be using the mvp as the battery, not really interested in a mechanical mod. I've looked into it a bit and from what I've read you don't want to go below 1.2 ohms on a mvp, but I'm going 1.5+, most likely higher like 1.8-2.2

Good deal. Just had to put the warning out there we see so many that have not educated themselves as well as you have.

The problem with igo-w is the top cap has 2 air holes and if you're building single coils you gotta find something to close 1 air hole that not expose to coils. And yea, like Myrany said, you need to get an ohm-checker to check the resistance if there're any short from your build.

Being a noob, I can't help with advice, but wanted to say that I can't post there either. I'm guessing after XX amount of posts, you aren't considered a noob anymore and can't START posts on the New Members board. Just a hunch.

Maybe one of the vets here can verify that.

IIRC 70 posts is the cutoff for posting new threads in the new members section but you can reply to threads in there forever.
