i been using the law caculator and its seems to be working good. I get a read outon my dcc of 2.4 ohms when the label from the manufactor says 1.7ohms... am i missing something here? im not a genious when it comes to this ohms+volts=watts stuff but i understand the basics..

So my grip is. since im using this tank with a 1.7ohm dcc @ what i thought was the recommended voltage (4.2) im draining my batts rather quick, am i supposed to use it as a 2.4ohm dcc and bump up the volt?

just as a refrence i am using a lavatube so i dont know for sure if i up the voltage that i would begetting anything above 4.2 volts

im a noob and i really hope i made any sense here

To check the meter is working touch the leads together and the display should read 0.0 Ω. It may read slightly higher, e.g. 0.7 Ω. This is the resistance of the test leads themselves. Subtract this value from the reading you got when you measured the DCC. Not uncommon to have .7Ω resistance in the leads. Check it out and see if they actually end up reading 1.7Ω

Simple info on measuring here. How to check resistance with a multi-meter

Side note: Dual coils tend to drain batteries quicker than single coils.

Really the quality control on these things could use some improvement. There's a lot of variance in the resistance and lifespan of atomizers and cartomizers. If the meter says 2.4 ohms and the atomizer says 1.7 ohms, believe the meter. Also an atomizer's resistance will vary as it get used.

As for where to set your VV device, most people settle around 4.5 V. However, the nice ting about VV is that it's VV. You aren't stuck with any particular voltage. I never use a meter on mine unless I need to check something. Set it where it works for you. Vary it to get the best vape with the juice and equipment you are using.
