Joye 510 from Cignot in 2010. That got me off the tobacco cigs. Then, I upgraded to an eGo!

The long part contains a battery. The short part is the atomizer.

Cignot! Yes! They were my main supplier for years!
Odd to think we're still using the 510 connector?

I went to Cignot the other day to see if they were still around. They are, and they still sell some of the original devices along with newer types.

In November 2014 I started out with the Mistic Bridge, some cartos and some Haus eliquid 24 mgs all in menthol- I quit cigarettes within 2 weeks using those. Moved up to the Joyetech Ecabs and then the Innokin vv/vw with evod tanks, then the eleaf istick 20w with the eLeaf Air Tanks when it came out.
I remain cigarette free today almost 4 years later with many great mods , tanks and 3mg liquids- No way would I ever smoke another cigarette!

I just recalled something I had completely forgotten about. I started getting E-light cigalikes at the mall kiosk and did that for a few months. Then the kiosk was taken over by a different company. I stopped by there and a guy was trying to persuade me to use this new system. Instead of getting a cartridge containing juice you could buy a bottle of juice and refill it. He said it was a better vape and much cheaper.

Seemed like a dodgy idea to me. I was suspicious, thought it was a con of some kind. So I said no thanks and tracked down my trusty E-lights on-line. Proceeded to waste several years and untold hundreds of dollars on E-lights. If it hadn't been for that one bad decision I might have got into real vaping and off the cigs five years sooner.

Mine was the old Joye 510. I remember the old days of trying to mod the wicking with different stuff (blue aquarium filters, anyone?) to try and get it to vape consistently.

I just recently went back to vaping, and am amazed at how it has evolved since then.

My first first vape was a Joye 510 kit too in about 2009 or '10. I started lurking on ECF, but I couldn't get those little buggers to work right.

I started vaping again in 2012 with Mistic cig-a-likes I got from Walmart. There weren't any vape shops then. About 3 weeks later I quit smoking because I was too lazy to go buy some more smokes when I ran out.

1 - Tried a couple convenience store disposables, and that sold me on the concept
2 - invested heavily in Joyetech 510's. Recharging carry-cases, extra-long ones, you name it.
3 - Moved up to some Ego stuff.
4 - Got an Innokin SVD, and moved up to ProTanks!!
5 - Got a Provari (and another, and at some point traded some Joyetechs for a Vamo)
6 - Discovered (and yes, invested heavily in) Cartotanks! Fancy ones!
You want 'em? They're available... (Kir Fanis, VapourArt, ByLeo...)
7 - Got a Reo...and yes - you guessed it - invested heavily in squonkers!

eGo battery and a CE4. Wasn't everybody's? Paid 20 bucks for it, and got grossly overcharged for some really horrible juice; but I managed to not smoke for three days and thought I had it on a string so I bought another one just like it because I didn't like to wait for that tiny, tiny battery to recharge. And hey, free atomizer too. Didn't take me long to outgrow it.

Some 7’s proprietary ciglike that was $100 a kit for the “privilege” to only use their prefilled cartos. Then on to go-go ciglike that wasn’t too bad. Then Sigelei zmax with Protank and it finally took and I remain above ground.

I vaped the Sigelei Telescope for quite a while in 2010 before buying a Provari. It was an interesting mod with interchangeable sections that unscrewed. In the round head configuration it resembled a Provari V2. You could screw the top section in and out to adjust the length for different batteries. I was surprised to see that it's still available from quite a few vendors, including stateside sellers and Fasttech.

Lol blue aquarium filter and Lipton tea bags...why I felt better about vaping on that stuff rather then poly fibre I'll never know. Then silica wicks, those funny little dangling threads in plastic tanks. Lol

I had forgotten about those! A while back I was looking though a shoe box in the closet and ran across drink stirrers, empty tea bags, and blue foam. That brought back memories!
