They're slowly taking away our amendments, so I wouldn't hold your hold breath for anything.
Recent vape hate in the news is a good test for our community. Its how you respond & fight back.
Ie,, below is a copy \paste,,,, before you read it, understand it only depicts my savings that flowed right back into my community,,, I intend to match that $$$$ in shopping boycott,, I figure 6 or 7 vape haters won't mind paying an extra $300-$600 of property tax on my behalf. ( Imagine if 1million vapers boycotted shopping!)
My point,, letters, protests are good for getting attention,,, but your pocketbook always screams louder.
Posted yesterday :
I was wondering about tax revenues lost.
Lets use my $15,000 saved from smoking that turned around and went right back into the community.
Money spent by consumers is always expected to change hands 6 or 7 times,, that is normal.
$15,000 x 6 churns= $90,000
$15,000 x 7 churns= $105,000
$90,000 @ 8%local tax rate= $7,200 of tax receipt the govt collects
$105,000 @ 8% local tax rate = $8,400 tax receipt the govt collects
Even if you divide by 4 to represent 'per year',, its $1800-$2100,, easily added to someone else property tax----Dont forget,, this is only my impact,, you have to multiply by #of vapers willing to send a message to the govt with their $$
Politicians are so freaking stupid,,, vaping is a far bigger golden goose than they think,, & their treating it like the plague
Now that I'm boycotting shopping, eating out & nonfree activities,, the govt gonna have to tax somebody else,,, & I don't want to hear any whining!
I'm not going back to smoking!
