May as well add my

Great products with the personal touch is why I use you. That said, don't change the name. Isacc...Ike...Iken, implies a degree of personality to your web presence. I think that's good. Also, if you Google "icanvape", which is a generic search, you come up first. If you Google "iken", a more individualistic search term, you come up second. There are businesses out there trying their damndest to get listed that high.
Thank you for the very valid point Chingas. I did purchase the Icanvape domain to make the url to route to us and as a safety net. My main target was for commercial use and ease of "word to mouth" but your absolutely right on keeping the original name that we have established
If I were to change something it'd be the black background with grey words. Kind of...dull. Since you don't strike me as dull, maybe getting a little more visual action there would be good. Just don't go nuts and forget that some people still have slow connections and if your site is too slow then you can lose traffic. I can't say I am in love with the "IKENVAPE" font. It's common.
Love the idea of having a Chameleon logo. People enjoy and respond to logos. Once they know the logo, they can be whipping around online trying to fight their way through the muck and jabber but one little flash of a familiar logo and their brain clicks in to it.
No worries on going crazy with colors and what not. Less is always more, especially when focusing on ease of use. Back before, when we used the Brown Chameleon logo, we only changed the context boxes to match. If we do go with Checkflags black background/Green Chameleon the same care would be used, if at all any adjustments are made to the original layout. I am personally upbeat, energetic and outgoing, but for some reason dark colors scheme's are just so attractive.
Very few in the vaping biz have a logo worth a crap. VaporBomb's mushroom cloud is solid (too bad it's grey, could be so much better). FreedomSmokesUSA's American peace symbol is striking. The best is MrPuff's Puffer Fish. Cute as hell with a lot of personality. He doesn't use it enough. If you do decide to get a logo, spray it far and wide. Logos are worthless if people don't know what it is.
As far as the logos I have seen so far in this thread, I think post #19 is kind of on the right track. It's a Chameleon which is a known color changer. The array of colors are interesting. Too bad there is next to no face, which=personality, on it. Debatable point: has anyone other than me looked at the head design and seen something...else? Is that good?? It is an adult product so maybe it's a good idea. The logos in post #22 are kind of nice. To me they represent Iguanas though.
It's not much, but i did manage to give him a little smile
I just looked back through your last 500 posts. Over 4+ months worth and just one day longer than I have been cigarette free. Know how many were posts outside the IkenVape forum? Seven. Those of us who love your products and service do some advertising for you but it may help your bottom line if your get out of this coccoon a little bit. You are a nice guy. Easygoing. Get out there and spread that around. People really value having a connection with their vape supplier. Look at the turnout in this thread or when you were having some troubles.
Go out where really? I don't/didn't think that I am able to post outside of our sub-forum?
One other thought. Never liked your avatar. There is the blah Black & Grey to it which is...meh. Hate the Lens Flare effect. I used to work in TV advertising and had to use that damn thing all the time. It screams Mid-90's to me. A good Chameleon logo however...
lol Your not alone on the lens flare effect. The Mrs. wanted me to get rid of it also. So on the main page of the storefront, it is now gone. The avatr didn't dawn on me.
Concerning your first post, "It appears generic appearances really make a company stand out". Hmmm, some disagreement from me there. Back in the day I used to get so damn tired of clients saying they "Wanted to look like everyone else, just different." Drove me nuts. Over the years I have come to see the wisdom in it. You could have a site with a rapping Chameleon with a crazy background that is constantly shifting colors. It could scroll not up and down but left and right. It could have dancing Hello Kitties in thongs all over it. Different? Yes. Good? mmmmm, No. There is something to be said for comfortable. It does help to have some kind of "hook" on the advertising end though.
Of the banners you showed, I sort of like the first one. The uncapitalized "I" is kind of easy and personable and the colored dot is a simple hook. I don't understand the red "a" in the other choices at all. Serves no purpose to me.
Ah yes, the red A, IA are my initials.
I am not here to snipe or be Captain Comedown. I want your business to flourish because I am hooked on your attys.
And rest assure nothing was taken that way. Advice and critique come in many forms. Your intent has been nothing but genuine and I thank you Chingas Those 2.0 ohm 901's are the best atty's I have used...until you got the 801 Shorti. Hot damn! Full of Win!! I have been using my Mr. Puffer as a battery box all day just so I can vape the 801. I just feel that you have looked at things and felt there is room for improvement. I agree. There always is.
