currently i have what i think is an eGo vape with wick clearomizer? <--probably wrong! lol anyhow i got it from a scam site vapex before i knew it was a scam luckily i got a new bank card issued and blocked them from charging me anyhow from what ive found online i think its an eGo but no markings on it i got it a while ago just broke it back out to see if i can get used to it and get away from regular cigs so far so good so next step as i know this one isnt gonna last too long more than likely is what is a good low cost yet decent quality e-cig to upgrade to im looking for something that replacement/spare parts arent going to be much (wife has me on a budget basically for every pack of cigs i dont buy i can spend on startup within a timeframe of course else id be set :p) im not into all the fancy looks etc im more functionality lasting etc, i norm smoke camel wides full flavor so looking for a setup with a good satisfying draw but easy on the throat. so any suggestions with links (if allowed) would be great so i can start reviewing and hopefully get something ordered friday. Thanks for having a great community!

How about an mvp2.0? They are $40 and comes with everything you need except eliquid.
They are great devices that last....
The tank it comes with isn't great, but probably good Enough to keep you off the cigarettes for a few weeks while you save some money for a new tank.
The mvp you can turn the power down or up to customize your Vape (flavor and harshness).
Also throat hit will be largely dependant on juice. Higher nicotine and more pg means more throat hit. Drop the pg down with vg and it gets smoother. Drop the nicotine down and it gets even smoother.

I agree with the others that an MVP offers a lot of features for the price, but most beginners shy away from a larger box-shaped device. If you don't mind the size and shape, the MVP is the obvious choice. Generally comes with free tank or two in the starter kit along with the USB charger.

If you want something more along the size and shape of what you already have, I recommend a Vision Spinner VV battery setup:

You may have a hard time finding an e-liquid flavor that tastes like a specific tobacco cigarette brand. Desert Joe by Volt Liquid or Black Diamond by eVo are Turkish blends which should come close to a Camel.

Hi Pappa, welcome to ECF. I don't own an MVP, but from talking to people and reading reviews it seems like a very good option. I tend to see this priced in the $60-$70 range - I need to find out where Hectic is seeing them for $40 because that seems like a pretty good deal. I am using a Vision Spinner 2 for my variable voltage device with a Kanger Aerotank v2. The battery doesn't quite get me through a day of moderate to heavy use and it doesn't support pass-through charging, which is a real pain. But functionally this setup is quite good - it produces a good amount of vapor, and has been almost completely problem free.

The Spinner will run about $30 and an Aerotank will cost about the same, so all in you're at the same $60 as an MVP can run you with a much better tank, but a much less functional battery. You might also have a look at Kanger EMUS kits, which run about $50 and come with everything you need including two tanks, two batteries, and replacement atomizer heads.

Some suggestions for you on your journey:

1) Have a backup. If I have one device and it stops working for any reason I'm at high risk to pick up a pack of cigarettes.
2) Use the community. Cessation alone is not as effective as cessation combined with support. ECF for me is not just about educating myself - it's about interacting with people that are doing the same thing, and that by and large are making it without cigarettes.

Good luck - you're on the right track.

Do you mean as an entire setup, or just the battery device?

The above MVP2 is a great intermediate setup. If you look around, you should be able to find one in the $40 - $60 range. Top it with an advanced juice attachment like a Mini Nautilus clearomizer tank for around $30 and 2 - 3 juice flavors and you'll be within your $100 limit.

I personally believe to get a better battery device you'll need to spend $160 for a Provari (Why Provari?) You'll still need to buy external rechargeable batteries and a box charger in addition to the Provari, so that puts you in the $200 range.

Congrats on making the switch and staying off the cancer sticks! Sometimes I wish I was married so I would have someone to keep me on budget lol. The MVP (2) is a great starter to mid-range vape. I run an acro (aspire nautilus clone, $30 at local B&M, probably less online) on mine. I love it for travel or when I just don't have time for my mech/dripper. [emoji2]

First, WELCOME! I am very glad you wandered in and you'll find lots of info here and many who will offer advice and answers. I agree on the mvp 2, they are terrific! When it comes to draw, you may want a tank with adjustable air flow, you can change from a tight draw to a very airy one and several settings in between. Examples of those are Aspire Nautilus and Kangertech Aero tanks, both brands come in full size and mini size. The prices run from less than $20 to perhaps $38.

Juice is a whole different issue. I have yet to find a tobacco flavor that mimics my preferred cigarette flavor but honestly, i haven't missed the flavor of tobacco. I decided if I did not want to smoke, I did not need to taste tobacco. I tried different flavors that I enjoy, fruits like melons and peaches, drinks like bar drinks and root beer, candy like my favorite licorice...I think you get the idea.

I would think you could look here ECBlend E-Liquids - Something Better - they have more than 400 flavors, are not too expensive and offer small sizes so you can try various flavors without spending a lot. Lots of folks like E Cigarette | Buy Electronic Cigarettes Online | E Juice - Mt Baker Vapor - another inexpensive company with terrific customer service. Many here have fallen in love with other companies, here are some I have enjoyed. ITCVapes Premium US Made e-Liquid and
Ecigarette, Ecigs, Electronic Cigarettes | Goodejuice.

If you read through posts you'll find many many more! Hope this helps and again, WELCOME!

If 101Vapes is out of stock you can try Kits - D&A Distribution where the MVP2 are similarly priced. I really enjoy my MVP2's. I've recently purchased an Aspire Nautilus and it is really amazing. I'm using the BVC replacement atty's and they really do put out the flavor, much like a cartomizer. Can't beat that except with some RBA's/RDA's.
