Hey all, I was smoking 2-3 packs of Marlboro a day and decided to try the e-cig. I saw them online at green smoke. I should have ordered it then but found a cheaper version at my local smoker friendly shop. I like it and all but I notice that I have to really drag on it to get a hit and I wondered if they were all like this or just the cheapy I bought. I can make it about half the day and then I find my face hurts from trying to suck so hard on the e-cig that i just go out and buy a pack of cigarettes. My questions are this: Is the greensmoke model better? If not, what is the best e-cig for me in terms of easy drag and great tobacco flavor?? Thanks all for your time. Aleyna

Based on the amount you smoke, I would recommend either an eGo or a RiVa kit with two batteries. I would also suggest a manual; not sure what the kind you got is, but a manual requires you to push a button on the inhale. While not as easy as an automatic, which I suspect may be what you have, it still is really simple and requires so little coordination that even i can do it.

Flavor is very subjective. I would recommend 24 mg juice, but until you find one you like, I would suggest you get sample sizes. My personal recommendation would be FreedomSmokeUSA. Some heavy or long-term smokers have slightly dysfunctional tastebuds at least for a while and theirs is some of the most flavorful juice plus, once you get out of the sample sized, you can order it with extra flavor.

I'd get a Joye eGo or a Riva. Period. You won't regret it....it'll open your eyes to what vaping can really do. You won't have to suck hard at all (in fact, the lighter the better, I've learned) to get tons of vapor....esp. if you get some good juice. I suggest you check out Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. for the hardware and VaporBomb.com or FreedomSmokeUSA for the juice. Getting the right PV and the right juice will rock your world. Really.

I would also recommend an eGo or Riva. If you must have something cig-shaped, you can always get the Joye 510, but keep in mind the battery life is MUCH shorter. All three of those models use the same atomizers (510 model).

I have found the 510 atomizers more vapor with a shorter, lighter draw.

As far as flavor and nicotine level, you'll just have to experiment. Get samples of different flavors at different nic strengths - with your smoking, I'd recommend 18mg, 24mg, and 36mg. Many will say 18mg is too low, but I smoked 30 a day, sometimes filterless, and 18mg is as high as I go. So you never know.

FreedomSmokeUSA has fantastic juices and frequent sales. Their Wyatt Earp tobacco juice is very good.

Although, I think you will find that there is no tobacco juice that tastes *exactly* like tobacco. Some get close, but none are dead-on. Trust me, it won't matter that much. Once you get the nic level and vaping experience you need, whether or not it tastes just like a cig will not be that important to you.

For an eGo or 510 kit, I had a great experience with ElectroNicStix.

Good luck!

I just got my Riva today and it seems as if it will be an excellent device for my needs. No led tip as I like to vape on the sly. I know I am a nicotine addict so I go with the 36mg and use snus as well. About 12-14 packs of analogs left, hope they are the last I buy, vaping is a lot more fun and it is too hot in Az to smoke outside. Now I just need to see what parts I can mix and match between my old njoy penstyle, mini dse901, v8 nebula and now riva.

From my experience, the 3 piece kits have a really nice draw (Pocket Ace, Blu Cig, Joye 510). I have alot of fun with the Joye while Im at home, but I would never go out with it for a long period of time. None of the 3 piece kits I own have long lasting batteries or carts. Plus, I don't want to keep e-juice with me let alone get it all over my hands while Im in public.

For going out, I LOVE the two piece models. They do have a bit of a harder draw - and there are alot of variances in between the same manufacturer... I am lucky enough to have an e-gic shop down the street from me - and they let me try out batteries before I walk out with them.

I ended up buying a Blackjack kit. The battery lasts 3 times longer, and I don't have to do any maintenance or mess around with e-liquid because the cartridges are pre-filled. I smoked two packs a day, and I go through 1 battery, and about 1 1/2 carts a day.

My new baby is what 21 Century Smoking calls the 'High Roller'. It is a cartomizer design, but the cartridges are almost twice the capacity of the Blackjack. Whats really cool is that the cartridges are interchangable between the two models, and it has a manual battery so I can produce huges amounts of vapor with very little effort.

So in short... I use the Blackjack for when Im on the go - the High Roller when Im chilling at a friends house - and the joye if I feel like trying new flavors at home.
