Personally I think the Vamo V2 or higher is a good deal. The plating on these things is crap though, so get a stainless steel version if you do not want to have that cosmetic problem.
I know a lot has been said about the 510 connector threading. You also can't treat any
device like a gorilla. Even a Provari connector will get stripped if you "do it right." I've owned a V2 for months with no threading problems. As with any device - it doesn't cross thread itself. If you pay attention when screwing devices on, and don't over tighten them as well, you should have minimal problems with the Vamo connector.
If you want something different though you may want to look at the Innokin MVP 2.0. It's a very different look than a Vamo - box style - with a few extra features like passthrough use while charging and ability to emergency charge devices like cell phones as well. You still get your display, VV & VW operating modes. It's another favorite in the Vamo price range.
