There are lots of choices today so virtually anyone can vape instead of smoke and save money if they so desire. When I knew I was going to be vaping instead of smoking the choice was simple. I wanted something that was going to last and I figured it costs less than 6 cartons of cigarettes and be able to be easy to use for my pea brain, I knew it was the device I wanted.

It's very rare that you'll see a post about a broken ProVari. And usually when one breaks it's because it was dropped and ran over with a lawnmower.

I'm not so sure you are correct about the 510 connector. Compare it to any of your other APVs and there is a different look to the ProVari connector. It looks more like tool steel to me and I assume much harder than the Chinese versions.

However it is an interesting question that I would love to know the answer to.

I am not aware of ANY US company who makes 510 connectors.

If you find one, let me know.

Its not like China can ONLY produce "soft" metal.....the manufacturers will provide what you have in your spec.

I have two, and my wife has two more. All four are more than 18 months old.

I also have some.other AWESOME mods. Two DNA20's, two very unique mods from Australia, and a pretty cool little Evod.

I've never once even considered selling any of the four Provaris. I highly doubt I ever will.

I got caught up in reading that Provari VS Semovar thread..... and it just was calling me... like that vixen that was calling Sinbad on one of those voyages. I had no one to tie me to the main mast. ITS NOT MY FAULT.....honest.

I ordered it from Cloud 9 in the UK. After the conversion from British pounds to dollars it was 309 shipped. But it was the full kit with all three tubes and the Kayfun end cap...and the polished SS etc.

I figure if it "aint all that".... or "just as good" as the Provari.. I can alway sell it in the classifieds. From what Ive seen... there is not much money lost selling there if you have the good stuff...like Provaris for instance.

Do you honestly think that Provape would ship the Stainless Steel caps that they machine in house to China, just to have the threads cut?

Not for an RSST 30 guage wire wrapped around cotton or mesh, no. No problems at all, other than I need to replace the cotton wicks every couple of days, and the mesh every couple of weeks or so.

I hate my RSST.
When I build for the Trident and IGO everything is great but my results on the RSST have been sad.
Either hotspots or juice that taste like paper. One day I'm going to pull it back out and get it right.

Ahhhhh thats why, Ive only been using silica for my rebuilds. Gotta get into the cotton/mesh world someday

All you need is Kanthal and cotton. You won't want to buy silica and mesh any more; at least I don't.

.....The Provari has it's place and back in the day it was the only decent VV unit on the market. These days there are more options, some with features that are more advanced then the Provari.

I honestly cant fathom why you'd even keep your ProVari as a backup.
You speak of it in such disdain. What it ever do to you?

I don't actually dislike the MVP,but really I don't need a bunch of features as I set it and forget it. So,for me ProVari is the better choice. We have a bunch of choices of devices. That is what is fun about this whole vaping thing.

Say it again....wait....I'll say it.....WE HAVE A BUNCH OF CHOICES which is why I don't get why so many people bash the ProVari.
It's not like someone is forcing them to buy one.

Actually that sound like one of the best prices I have heard of and yes she will kill you.

As far as reselling in the ECF classifieds - "No Problem-O". It is the only place you can go and turn a profit on a two year old ProVari. Just today I was looking a Fogger 2 someone was selling and "Binged" it just to get some additional information on it and found I could buy it new with free shipping cheaper than the price in the classifieds. The price people want and get for ProVaris in the classifieds in plumb crazy. I have to stop looking thru those goodies or I am going to get stung.

And here's a quote from the Provape reference:

"Parts - Machined right here in Monroe, WA. We use US-made stainless steel bar stock to produce the tubes, top caps, bottom caps, contact pins, etc. Everything is done on our machines locally. No outsourcing."

Just because they don't sell them as connectors or wholesale them separately doesn't mean they don't make them.

They also sell a quality 510 to ego connector. Yes, it's pricey, but it is obvious when one sees one that it isn't the run of the mill connector.
