What's in the dark, thick juice in the last quarter of my clearo?

I am using a 70/30 Blueberry 18mg in a LR Vision Ego clearomizer on a standard 650 mah Ego battery. As I vape down to the last 1/2 ml in the tank, the juice gets thicker and darker. But I've found I really like the smoother hits. The flavor seems a bit more muted, but it isn't overwhelmed by the throat hit. I am pretty new and have only tried 70/30 and 50/50 PG/VG juices. What should I tinker with to recreate this vape from the start? More VG? Less nicotine? Less resistance?

A Smoother Hit Usually implies More VG and Less PG.

Less Nicotine will also do this. Less Nicotine will also tend to make an e-Liquid Sweeter.

More VG will make it thicker. That last bit in the tank is sludge. Heavier parts of the juice that don't get wicked up and also maybe a little burnt. You should really clean it out or it will start to clog things up.
