I've been wondering just what's inside this sucker that makes it weigh as much as it does. Has anyone gone inside one to see what's there?

Yeah, I could open my own up but I'm not taking any chance that I'll mess it up. And no, its weight doesn't bother me at all.

Lots of Brass and SS. I have one also and this thing is built like an army tank. I dropped mine last week and it did not even put a mark on it. I am enjoying mine a lot. What has been your impression with it?

I passed a magnet around the exterior to see if it was attracted to anything inside. The magnet was attracted only to the battery. All that says is there's little to no ferrous material. But I've had to attach one of those silicone tips on the tank so I don't knock out some teeth if I'm not paying close attention. :)

We have had ours a few months and still are impressed and LOVE the VTR! It is in regular rotation with the Provari mini while holding its own in comparison.

However (on a side note), I have a REO Grand sitting under the Christmas tree...it will be interesting to see what happens to the rotation on the 25th!
