I want to get a mod very soon. I want to spend no more than 140 dollars total. I want something that will be 5 to 5.5 volts loaded. I want something that catches leaks. I want something in the medium size range I don't want it to be as small as a ego or as big as a chuck. 510 ready. What is the best mod out at the moment for me?

Vari-Volt is the new fad...but some people don't want to guess where their voltage is or have to mess with it. In terms of overall use and build, you have to give it to the Silver Bullet. It can run 3.7v, 6v, or 7.4v and recently, someone was able to run it at 5v w/o any adapters or add-ons...though it remains unconfirmed in my eyes.

I'd have to say that at $85, the SB is a device you will always be able to rely on, will take a pounding, and will be in your collection until you quit vaping or die!

keep in mind that most mods will require you to buy atleast $40 worth of batteries and chargers

I think it depends on which mod he gets. I spent $30 for two batteries and charger, but with the 18650 and the amount I vape, I could have easily gotten away with just one and charged it every night.

Variable Voltage is not a fad it's only the beginning of the next generation PV.

the buzz, the Super T Precise 18650 or 2/ 3 volt batteries for 5v vaping ($159 but it comes with a lifetime warranty), or the silver bullet, but that thing is kind of huge.

The V3 is a good buy too, but i haven't kept up with any problems with it. I know all previous incarnations of it had switch problems.

one option might be a used mod of your choice. some are gently used, priced right and come with batteries and charger. others are full list and you're better off buying brand new.

A V3 is a pretty good buy it's pretty cheap. The V3 doesnt really have any button problems its all mechanical. Has a good warranty and good customer support. Out of the V3 and the SB I'd go with the Prodigy V3. Batteries will rattle around in any mod if you shake it including the Silver Bullet. But you asked what is the best mod out and my answer to that would be the Buzz.
