So I've been vaping for a couple weeks, and haven't smoked since I started! Clearly, vaping is working for me.

I started off going to a local B&M shop to get setup with something, and they sold me a Vision Spinner 2, with a Kanger Genitank Mini. In all actuality, it's been a great starter rig for me. I quickly realized after about two days that the Genitank Mini wasn't nearly big enough for me, so I purchased a Kanger Aerotank and am loving it. Simple and enough capacity for most of a day.

But I'm starting to reach the limits of the Vision Spinner battery. I feel like I'm forever charging it and since it takes so long to charge, I'm really never able to completely get it charged up throughout the day. Plus, the Spinner 2 with an Aerotank on top is a bit too long for my taste.

What I'm looking for, I think, is a good box mod. I am looking for something that will work really well with the Aerotank for now, but will also be able to power a rebuildable tank at some point in the future -- perhaps a Kayfun or similar.

What should I be looking for? I'd rather purchase something high quality that will last me a good year, than purchase something inexpensive that will break or need replacing quickly. I travel a bit and therefore, would rather have something that can be charged via USB (as opposed to a separate charger that I'd need to take with me.)

Budget is < $200.

Thanks in advance!

Look into an E-leaf I-stick it is a mini DNA 20 style mod that will work with your current setup and will run a RBA like a kayfun but it is only good down to a 1.0 ohm build so if you might venture towards sub-ohm builds then you will need to look towards a Sigelei 50 watt, 100watt or a KSD 60 watt box which has 18650 battery requirements. The I-stick has a micro usb charger port and no battery to replace it is only 2200 mah battery capacity but will get you through the work day on a single charge with power to spare and you could always keep your ego for back up while charging the other unit. Another new smaller box mod that charges off micro USB is the E-power 3 but it is only a 15 watt mod but it has 3200 MAH battery so it has a tremendous amount of battery life. Another option is the Dovpo E-LVT box again it is 15 watt like a vamo but USB charger it takes an 18650 battery which they come in all different MAH ratings so unlike the I-stick and E-power3 you can change the battery out if it goes bad. The E-LVT is also water, dust, and shock resistant and is available in a 30 watt version E-LVT 2.0 which is the same size but requires a high drain battery like a Sony VTC4 or VTC5 and is capable of sub-ohm down to .5 ohms if memory serves me correct. Hope that this will help you with something to look into.

Get a sig 100 watt. You cant charge it off a usb because it has dual 18650s but if you get good batteries with it you can get tons of vape time. It has real strong magnets so you dont need to use the screws and it will give you all the range in the world you need depending on what you want to vape and how. I think its a great price and a good build quality. One powers my kayfun all the time and around 20 watts its amazing. Then I have another one topped with a tobh at .3 ohm and when I want to I use that at around 70 watts and it craaaanks.

Tbh if you want for $200 with the current sales I bet you can get an Atlantis, four good batteries and the Sig 100 for less then 200. Or you can scratch the atlantis and save some but its an amazing topper and allows you to subohm without having to know a lot. You want clouds and flavor you say? That would be my suggestion. Then set the Sig at 40 watts and see how she goes. Back off a bit untill you like it, I liked mine at 37 watts.

The Sig 100W only goes down to 10W. I don't recommend that for the Kangers. On Monday the Vaporsharks are on sale. Try to find the code. One of those would be perfect for you. 7-30W so you can run RBAs later.

The key to successful vaping is 2 or more batteries/mods. So you always have something while one is charging.

The more I research, the more I think i want to get something nice now, instead of buying a bunch of mods trying to get better and better.

I'm interested in the Vapor Shark rDNA 30 (replaceable battery is a good thing I think). Given the 20% off on Monday, I think it should be around $135, which should leave some of my budget to get a good RBA - which is a whole other discussion / research topic!

I'm also interested in the Provari. I realize that it's a totally different form factor, but since I don't see myself ever going to subohm mods, I think it would suffice for me for a long while. But given their price, I think I can get more from the Vapor Shark... I also don't believe that the Provari will charge over USB, and I really don't want a separate charger...

Too may decisions! I think I'm going to go have a vape...

Most vapers I know (mostly from my local vape shop) vape an RBA at between 14 and 17 watts with coils from 0.8 to 1.5 ohms. It also seems to be an average on here as far as I can tell.
it

That is me 95% of the time. I do test new flavors at different wattages and that includes 24w and 30w. But I don't have any flavors that I thought were best there. I have four MODs that will hit 30w, and I want to be able to use all four. I understand that just by my using different Mods flavoring can vary, but I accept that it won't be much. I don't want to go crazy with my 472 page spreadsheet.

Oh, gotta run, time for my meds...
