This is a personal preference choice in my opinion.

Pg (propylene glycol) is allegedly a better flavor carrier than Vg (vegetable glycerin). Vg is a much better vapor producer.

Most e-liquids will have some ratio mix of both Pg and Vg to have both nice flavor and vapor production. Some people are sensitive or even allergic to Pg; these folks will need to use a 100% Vg liquid. Most of the e-liquid vendors that do custom mixing offer the option of the Pg/Vg ratio you prefer.

I once ordered my favorite flavor in both a 50/50 Pg/Vg ratio and also in a 100% Vg just to see which one I preferred for future reference. In all honesty, I couldn't tell a difference in flavor between the two, with the 100% Vg juice having more vapor production. Juices with a larger ratio of Vg may require some steep time for the flavoring agents to acheive their full saturation of the juice, as Vg is not as good of a flavor carrier as Pg.

If given a choice in Pg/Vg ratio, I tend to keep it simple and order a 50/50 ratio, or going with more Vg depending upon the flavor or how much more vapor I want based on previous experience with that flavor. Sometimes more Pg can add some harshness, sometimes more Vg can cause wicking issues because of it's thicker viscosity. Vg can be thinned down with some distilled water.

I personally mix at 70% VG, feel that high VG offers a smoother vape. 50/50 was ok, but I found high PG ratio's were to harsh. It does all come down to personal preference though, you'll find many advocates in either camp. The high the VG the thicker the juice, so some atomizers will have wicking problems with high VG content. I recommend trying 50/50 first then go up and down the scale to see what you like best. Some people have an adverse reaction to high PG or high VG. Like all things vape, it takes some experimenting to find ones personal taste. Finding the right juice ratios, flavors and nic levels is one of more difficult things about vaping. Not to mention finding the right atomizer, battery mod, wicking material and wire.

It's a wonder why more people don't get discouraged with vaping, there is just so many different choices, styles and options out there to search through before one finds their personal preferences.

Good luck have fun. Vaping is an adventure.
