What's that smell???

Hi, my name is Scott, and I'm a Febreeze addict.

I started vaping over the holidays last year, so my car sat for about a week before I opened the door. And during that week, my sense of smell came back. And we had a little warm spell between Christmas and New Year, so it really got the smells going. I opened the car door and the smell poured out like swamp mud. I just about keeled over.

It took me a few applications, and I had to get everywhere - under the seats, on the headliner, I even turned the AC on recirculate and sprayed it into the air vents under the dash. But, my car no longer smells like a smoker's car. I can get in it even on the hottest summer day, and I smell hot car instead of moldy ashtray.

vape some BWB Malty Toffee in your car for a while and it will develop a great aroma!

I'm on my second day of quitting smoking. I am so greatful for the e cigarettes! I smoked regular cigs for 20 years, tried quitting so many times, no success. E-cigs, success!!!!
When I went to the store today, people were smoking around it, smelled so disgusting!!!

It's a mixed blessing. In addition to smelling the scents that are pleasant, you also can smell the most disgusting things imaginable.

I'm glad I've quit... but sad I haven't been able to enjoy smelling/tasting things better. Everything is just about the same for me so far. That part has been a let down. Perfumes, food, aromas, all the same as when I smoked.

One observation: My pee smells! Never noticed it when I smoked. THEREFORE, vaping must make my pee smell ... Can there be any other possible explanation?

LOL That's actually something I noticed, too. My pee smells. The only time it ever smelled when I smoked was when I had too much vitamin B.

Funny, I've been having the same smell problems. What's worse is now I can smell people smoking cigs in their car if I am behind them at a red light or a drive through. It's amazing how far the smell of cigarettes carry! When someone from work walks in from a smoke break, you can smell how bad you used to smell.

I will never go back to normal cigarettes for those reasons alone!

I grew up in a smoking house and started smoking myself at 13. I think this may be the first time in my life that I have actually smelled things as they actually are!

Now if I could just keep my bulldog from farting.....

I HAD TO LAUGH OUT LOUD ABOUT THAT !! people looked at me funny too...

my lifestory is just about the same,,started real vaping 6 weeks ago..still a few analogs being used tho

sometimes i get wiff of some really wierd smells and have a helluva time figuring out what it is,,

whats my world gonna smell like when i completly drop the analogs ?? time will tell

Started Vaping around the 10th of august.
Lit my last September 8.
Went days to a week without smoking. Liked the taste of the last as much as any other although they seemed weak compared to my Vape juice. Still like the smell of tobacco smoke.
No change so far to my smell or taste.

I've been noticing the same things. My dirty clothes hamper reaks! I've never noticed it before. I started just throwing my clothes in the washer and closing it and waiting for a full load. PEW!!!!

I've also been using baking soda and vinegar in all of my drains to clean them out. They didn't smell bad before.

For me smell was the biggest change too! After a year now I can smell an analog from a LONG way away, I can even tell if someone is smoking in front of me on the highway. I can also tell that someone is a smoker when they walk by me. It's hard to believe how sensitive I am to the smell of tobacco now!

Vaping two weeks now. I did not smoke for the past two years, but used snus instead. I went through the same changes of how I smelled the world. (Presumably, the world changed its perception of how I smelled, as well.)

I smoked up to 4 packs of unfiltered cigarettes a day for nearly 45 years with short periods where I 'dipped' chewing tobacco instead (sometimes even WHILE smoking).

This last spring, I had to go in for kidney cancer surgery (totally successful, BTW) and could not use snus (it causes the stomach to produce acid, just like food) and had to switch to the Patch. I figured why not complete the Patch sequence and be done with nicotine for all time. Twelve weeks go by working through the series of patches. The day after I took off the last 7mg Patch I was smoking again (no local source for snus). I smoked for a month, in that time going from a couple of puffs per day to a pack a day. A friend who vapes gave me an e-cig to try, and I ordered a kit the very next day. No urge to smoke or use snus for the past few weeks. Wish me luck (and perseverance).

Funny thing for me was that I always smoked on the front steps of my house right where the front door is. When I quite, I quite because a friend had set me up with his old Ego system for DragonCon and it was sorta sudden. So, my two ash pots(old flower pots I turned into ash trays) were still full. After four days of not touching analogs, I walked outside and almost gagged at the smell that lingered over my front stoop, it was disgusting. I immediately had to empty out and remove the ash trays.

Had a sinus operation 1 year ago and since then have had no sense of taste or smell and Surgeon said they may never return...Lo and behold the last 2 days I'm getting whiffs of some type of smell and hints of taste. The only reason I can figure out is quitting analogs and switching to vaping. Have also noticed my teeth and tongue are sparkling clean. Should be interesting when I go to the dentist for my semi annual cleaning next Monday.
