Quick question, what's the benifit of silica wick over cotton or rayon for my rda?

Silica:
My wife can't burn it up like she can cotton or rayon if she forgets to squonk.
I/she can wash and dry burn the coil/wick in a few shakes and it's a good 'un for the fortnight.
Easy, durable and forgiving.

Like Izan said, silica wicks can be dry burrned. Cotton and rayon can't. Other than that, there's not any other benefit IMHO.
Simple: Silica doesn't burn. To clean it - and you can - you actually dry burn with the silica wick in place. You can use the same silica wick for weeks on end by cleaning/dry burning. But you know what happens to cotton with one accidental dry hit...
Everyone has their own likes and dislikes for wick materials, some people swear they can "taste" something about one particular wicking material versus another, and coil build and atty can all effect which wick material you prefer. Pick one and try it - there is no right answer for this.

Cheers guys, I've already got ... cotton and rayon (I actually prefer the rayon over cotton) but wanted to know about silica as I use my plume veil for testing my diy juice and want a wick that doesn't need changed every time I try a new mix
