Hi ! I just acquired a 69 mod ! It's a "Polished Stainless Steal" model and seeing as how it is used it has a few "Minor" scratches on it ! "Nothing Major" but I would like it to look as good as it possibly can.

I would like to be able to do this myself so I thought this would be a good way to get some "Pointers" I don't have a lot of tools but I do have a "Sears Craftsman Rotary Tool" (pretty much like a Dremel Tool ) and will get any polish and or cleaners I need to go with it!

So, Here's Your Chance To A Old (I'll be 63 on 3/3/13) Newbie What To Do !

Thanks In Advance :vapor:

One of these for your rotary tool, Shop Dremel 1/2-in Felt Polishing Wheel at Lowes.com and a can of this, Shop Dremel Polishing Compound at Lowes.com
It won't look as good as if you did it on a large polishing wheel, and you may need to hit it with some scotchbrite or steel wool first to get the deeper scratches out, but the more time you spend the better it will get.
The best way would be a bench grinder with a polishing pad then several steps of the polishing rouge, coarse to fine to buff the entire unit at once. But on the cheap, it should leave a decent enough finish.
