Been scratching my head.. but hoping someone has an answer..

All coils, however low the wattage is get burnt after a few days. Even if there was never a single burnt/dry hit, it will still gets burnt.. and there is a black deposit.. not just on the coil but also within the wick.

I know the cotton is the obvious answer, but even of the cotton isnt burnt while vaping it still has deposits on the coil.

I am guessing, its sugar/sweetness on e-juice, or flavoring deposits etc.. Does anyone know. has there been any studies. Did anyone just boil VG/PG in a pan and test if there are any deposits..

Its more than cotton. so what is it...

Rule of thumb : the darker/sweeter your liquid, the faster it'll gunk up your coil. Caramelized sugars - hard to get rid of.

Creme brulee en miniature :)

Pal of mine vapes menthol. His coils last for two, even three months. With stuff like vanilla or chocolate, they barely make it through the week.

I have to burn off my coils and change my cotton once a day with the juices I use. The taste is so delicious that it doesn't bother me at all. It's a part of the process.

My sweeter, more complex, dessert types gunk my coils up very fast.

BTW: It's the sugar getting caramelized (not burnt).

Lower watts = faster gunk
To high = burnt gunk

All coils Gunk. It is the Sugars/dyes and flavoring separating out and sticking on the coils.

Clean or Replace as necessary. All a Normal part of vaping.
Yeap this, if you have your watts too low it doesn't vape fast enough and thickens eventually caramelizing the sugars instead of evaporating.

It used to happen to me all the time when I broke my mod and only had a 15w mod as a backup...
