What's the deal with the Paps Inc. v2 "

So what's the deal with the Paps Inc. v2... Is "Prototype" just the name of the mod or does that literally mean it is a prototype and is there another v2 floating around out there? I just got a Paps the other day. I noticed it doesn't have a serial number. My friend was telling me that he saw someone with a Paps v2 and it was serialized. Does that mean we have different versions of the v2 (lolz)? That mine is the prototype and the other guys' is the real v2? Or is my friend just a compulsive liar and there is no such thing as a serialized v2 Paps? I'm so confused right now. Help.

Paps Inc. v2 Prototype is a box mod made out of Molave and Kamagong wood. There are no tubes.

To answer audiopistol's question, it's literally a prototype AND the official name of the box. The 2 versions they've released are different in a lot of ways and most likely the v3 and so forth will be a chance for them to experiment.
