what's the difference between a LR and a SR cartomizer?

Here's a more detailed explanation, lol. LR and SR stand for low resistance and standard resistance. These basically refer to how hard your device has to work to get the voltage of the device into the atomizer/cartomizer. Resistance is measured in ohms. Items that are labelled LR typically have a resistance of 2.0 or less, though actually what is LR should be relative to your voltage. This is what six is referring to above. Now why should you care?
A short lesson on electricity: Voltage is basically the amount of energy your device produces. Ohms is, as I said, the amount of resistance. An analogy: Consider your plumbing. Voltage is the water pressure your system (whether it be your well or your municipality) puts out. Think of ohms as the size of your pipes. The smaller the pipes, the more work the system has to do to get the water through the pipes. In electrical terms, we call this amps.
We can measure amps using the following formula:

amps = volts/ohms.

The more amps, the more heat. The more heat, the more vapor. At least up to a point. Too much heat fries the carto, the battery or both.

Both answers above are correct. If you find the technical answers confusing though here's the difference in basic terms.

SR cartos produce a cooler vape. LR cartos produce a warmer vape with more TH. Like Reidus said, LR is generally considered 2.0ohm and below and SR is generally around 2.5ohm-3.0om.
The lower the ohm of the carto, the warmer the vape will be. So while a 1.5ohm carto, a 1.7ohm carto, and a 2.0ohm carto are all considered LR, the 1.7ohm carto will give a slightly warmer vape than the 2.0ohm carto, and the 1.5ohm carto will give a slightly warmer vape than the 1.7ohm carto.

Slim ecigs can only use SR cartos and their not made to handle LR cartos, so if you use a slim ecig I wouldn't use LR cartos bc it can damage and/or kill your battery.
LR cartos are only for bigger battery PVs. If you use a bigger battery PV like an eGo, kGo, riva, Epower, etc etc etc, then you can use LR cartos. Most people that use lower fixed voltage PVs like the 3.4V eGo or the 3.7V kGos, rivas, Epowers prefer LR cartos.
Basically the purpose of LR cartos is to simulate higher voltage vaping.

Hopefully this makes alittle more sense for ya about the difference between LR and SR.

What PV do you use?
