What's the difference between the regular atty and a LR?

Hi

Day 4 with not even 1 analog I am so pleased with myself but as is now my habit I get up pour a coffee grab my trusty joyetech 510-T and start vaping, next I switch on laptop and read notes on this forum.

I need to order a new atty and have seen mention of an LR atty, will this fit my system and what difference will it make to my vaping pleasure?

I am using VG based flavors not sure if this makes any difference.

thanks in advance for your response :)

Slim ecigs, like you have, can only use standard resistance attys and cartos. Only bigger battery PVs can use LR attys/ cartos.
LRs don't really give more vapor, like mentioned above. What they do do is produce a warmer vape with more TH. most people prefer LRs and they are generally considered 2.0ohm and below.

VG E-liquid has better vapor production and lees TH.. I think its easier on you..Ive been vaping for over 2+ years now and 100%VG is all I use... Now for the attys. A low resistance atomizer will give you almost twice as much vapor as a standard resistance ones does, and the vapor will be warmer.. Belive me its the only way to go if you are vaping at 3.7 volts..
Pen style e-cigs do not have a battery large enough to fire a LR atty.. The problem is since a LR lets more current thru the amp draw is to high for the small batteries to handle..
Here is an example of the power diffrence between a LR atyy and a SR atty..
When a 3.7 volt battery comes fresh off the charger it will be at 4.2 volts and when its put under load (with an atty) it will read at about 3.7 volts
3.7v x 3.7v / 1.5 (LR atty resistance) = 9.12 watts Low Resistance atty
3.7v x 3.7v / 2.2 ( SR atty resistance) = 6.22 watts Standard Resistance atty
These valus are approx. as attys resistance levels vary. As you can see the LR atty uses much more power hence producing much more warmer vapor. These wattages do drop as the battery discharges, unless you have a Variable Voltage/wattage device (like a Provari), and it that case the boost circuit will keep the power the same to every hit until it shuts off when the battery gets to low.
Looks like you might be ready for a Mod soon? Its an absolute night and day diffrence....

What you must be kidding me,LR attys produce much more warmer vaper... Look at the wattage diffrences.....

slim ecigs use standard resistance (around 2.5 to 3 ohms) single coil atomizers and cartomizers

450mah+ fat batteries and mods can use the LR stuff that is lower ohms. There are at least 2 kinds of low ohms stuff
- single coil - hotter and use power faster
- dual coil - double cool vapor, NOT hotter, use power faster

The lower the ohms the faster your battery power is used

In addition, what is effectively LR depends on your battery voltage. Stuff that is marked "LR" or under 2.5 ohms is LR for normal 3.4-3.7v batteries. But 3ohms (which is standard resistance for 3.7v batteries) is low resistance for a 5v battery.
