A madvapes VV box holds voltage better then this thing.

Yes the madvapes vv boxmod holds it's voltage till the batts die, I have metered it.. and know this to be true. The MV VV box is an excellent device and the best value there is out there IMO.

Once you include the price of 7 batteries plus the mod itself it isnt as cheap.

Actually for me 2 18650's is enough to do the trick I'm pretty certain. I've got 106.98 invested in it including the unit, battery charger and 2 AW 18650's. If I don't have to buy another within a year due to breakage I'll consider it a win. I figure something "better" will be out at that point and even had I chose the Provari I would still be jumping on the upgrade bandwagon as that's just me.

The only reason I purchased so any 18650 IMR's is because I knew, without a shadow of a doubt, the LT would make me want a Pro-Vari. Being a Server Admin and a PC Gamer, I am the exact same way with my PC Parts, in that e-cigs have become another hobby more so than a need, and the Pro-Vari is the new "shiny" so to speak. I would prefer backups over my need for them, and I'm the same way about data, BACKUPS BACKUPS BACKUPS

The cost of the LT wasn't the ultimate factor in my purchase, but my desire to attempt VV vaping, resell value, and interchangeable batteries with the Pro-Vari were what drove me to it.

Are the readings obtained from the "7x power button click + fire button + power button click" accurate? I certainly hope not because my battery voltage reads 3.8V (tested with voltmeter as well) and it's showing a voltage under load of 3.3V when I have it set at 4.5. If this thing can't keep the voltage under load anywhere near to what it's set at then doesn't it make it somewhat worthless? From what I read even the eGo-C is 3.5V under load.

What's the ohm of your cart or atty.....you using dual coil carts as your voltage under load suggests that....

Well your 3.3v is definitely off at that level of battery.....unless your using a dual coil. I have never used a dual coil with it because of that very reason....they don't play well together. On my 2.0 Kangers I get 4.6v with a full charge so something seems off. You have a year warranty so you can always write up a cs ticket over at Volcano if you can't figure it out or fix the issue. Their customer service seems to be really good.

The point that is missed in all these posts is that the Lavatube is limited to 2.5 amps under load. Immediately the current hits 2.5 amps the device will reduce the voltage out to keep at 2.5 amp, regardless of what it says on the display. You need to make sure that the resistance of the atomiser is high enough that the current doesn't exceed 2.5 amps to get a true voltage regulation reading. Note that the Provari, while having a higher amp limit will throw an error when this limit is exceeded rather than reducing the voltage.

Thanks for the techno but it's been covered so much in other threads we may it seems for the most part just take this as almost common knowledge and try to generalize the topic in a way that most get easily as not everyone is into the in depth techno aspect....they just want it to work and understand on a general level why theirs isn't.
