Yes, Roth, that is in fact what I always say before a trial. But it is for real this time!

Now chunks of Hj's ears are falling off. That is a symptom of lupus. Did I mention that a large portion of his scrotum dried up and fell off? (sorry boys, for the visual). This is just depressing. He is happy, which is good. I'm just not sure about his future.

Wow Skry, miss a couple days here and you miss a lot. That had to be tough on your son. You mentioned his daughter. How old is she and where's her mom? Hopefully she has some place to go, staying there would be weird.

Hitt, that was funny, aren't there any civilian jobs for missile mechanics.

Oh Axl, that's sad, has he been diagnosed with Lupus now? I didn't know dogs got it. Since Axl's description bothered you that much, I won't go into my teenage years.

A/C tomorrow, Yea! I'm becoming such a wimp.

Good morning. Roth, congrats on the new ac finally getting installed. I did pick up some basic electronics training in the army but in my opinion it wasn't any where as in depth as is needed. Luckily I had a section leader that knew the stuff inside and out. At the time he was the only one we had that could read a board schematic.

Yeah Roth, it was pretty hard on him. His daughter lives with her Mom. She is almost 10 months old.

That's great news on the a/c. I hope it goes without a hitch, and quickly.

Hitt, board schematics are tough to read. I can in a pinch, but it takes a while to get it figured out. Is work still busy? You mentioned it picked up last Friday. Is you're shop air conditioned? I hope it isn't too bad in you're corner.

You have to stop doing such a good repair job..... Then you'll get more work in.... LOL

Our shop has air conditioning, but they haven't turned in on in 3 years and it doesn't work any more. The building was designed for air conditioning because of all the CNC machine. There is no ventilation and no way to get any wind moving through the shop. Last night it was 100 degree's where I work. that gets old after a few hours. Tomorrow it is supposed to get down to the mid 80's outside here. I'm hoping it cools off in the shop by next week.

I would think that it wouldn't even take a few hours to get tired of that heat. It's about the same temps here. When I go out on service calls some of the shops are pretty hot inside. I try to schedule them in the mornings if I can.

Everything went without flaw, but of course took all day so cooling off the house took until this morning. I was hoping the larger A/C unit would speed up the cool down period, but it was in the 90s in here when they finally got finished. Not complaining though, it's going over 100 today and my old boy looks much more comfortable than he's looked all summer.

Congrats on the ac roth. You should turn it down to 65 just to give it a good trial. Just kidding. After getting my last water bill, I'm trying to not run the sprinklers as often. I skipped a cycle yesterday but it's hard for me to not run them. I spent a good chunk on the irrigations system and it seems silly to not run it when I want to. I'm sure I'll cave and go back to twice a day while it's 100+.

Actually, from what I read, the best time is around 2 or 3 in the morning giving it about an inch worth of water. That way it gets to soak in, for the most part, before the sun's heat gets to it. Anything left over should then evaporate. When
I cared about such things, that wasn't practical because I didn't have an automatic watering system.

I usually too a section at a time right before nightfall and soaked the h out of it. I'd do a section at a time and moved the sprinkler. The lawn looked fine. I think you're supposed to give grass about an inch a week of water if I remember correctly.

My hubby has one of those automatic timer sprinkler dohickies. He seems to like it. He runs it pretty late at night.

My job is so odd. Yesterday I was on a roof painting, and today I spent almost an hour (on the clock) advising one of my bosses on how to properly fit a bra. Just never know what I'll be doing from day to day!
