Holy cow TV. No reason to go overboard. We were just talking about a little innocent exercise. No reason to start doing chores. Besides if our wives catch wind of it then they'll think we're supposed to do that stuff too.

Ok W, GM and hit (and a nod to roth for a quick response to not pee pee on his scoot), I'm caving to peer pressure. Tomorrow:
    (1) When I get out of bed I vow to lift at least 1 foot off the floor on my journey to the recliner.
    (2) I vow to rise from said recliner no less than 3 minutes earlier than usual and mumble "good morning" to anyone in a 5 foot vicinity.
    (3) I vow to clean up my usual coffee spillage with a paper towel instead of the sock on my left foot.
    (4) I vow to pick up and stow in another corner a pile of tools I left on the kitchen floor after the last project.
    (5) I vow to temper my anger when my 10 year old son stands staring into the fridge for the 16th time in 10 minutes to see if anything new showed up.
    (6) I vow to consider looking into why Momma's car has no heat when it's cold outside.
    (7) I vow to stare at the laundry room wall and contemplate how nice a shelf for soap would be, as well as agree with Momma how important it is.
    (8) I vow to lower the toilet seat for the whole day.
    (9) I vow to volunteer one of the lil twisters to do the dishes.
    (10) I vow to not start anything I can't finish.

Boy, I'm pooped thinking about it. I might have to shorten it a bit......oh well, no pain, no gain.

My sense of smell doesn't seemed to have changed like my taste-buds. After boppin' around with Camel, Marlboro, then General snus I got some Thunder Frosted Mini's and Lab 02 and thought I was set for life. Stubby says " hey, you need to try some other ones 'cause a man can't live on one snus alone"....or something like that. Though I still bow down to the GOD OF THUNDER...(lightning strikes....screams of horror and ecstasy....fade to black....), I do believe I'd go nuts without my small variety.

    Cause that's what addicts do.....duh......

Somehow I totally missed this post until I saw stubby quote it. I usually pay closer attention than that. At least on the forum anyway. You are right once again TV. That is what addicts do.:p I'm not sure why but I accidentally typed tight instead of right in that last sentence. Had to fix that quick.

Ok I think I am caught up now so...

Good morning! I am in a surprisingly good mood for being so tired and also being back at work for another day of punishment. My work has gotten crazy busy over the past week or two and I'm starting to feel a bit like a whipped dog. I think I'll go do what addicts do and get the morning started with:

    Thunder berry
    coffee
    WoS lemon grove/ raspberry menthol
    30mg menthol

If I'm still conscious after that then I'll check in later to see if anyone has stopped working long enough to post.

    Morning all.

TV has inspired me to actually take the Wii Fitness box out from the corner of the room and take the shrink wrap off of it. It was bought for X-mas 2 years ago.

Maybe I'll actually open the box up and put the workout disk in by next X-mas. Don't know how long it will take me to actually stand on the board. Move with the program? Wow... maybe by then the FDA will decide it is a drug delivery device and take it away before that happens. :p

    Repeat after me:

    french-fry-200x250.jpg

stealing other people's uploads cuz it's easy and that's how I roll

Nickelback turned up loud on Pandora Radio, Smooth 8 and cup of coffee to start the AWSOME cloudy, rainy and cool Arizona day.

Hello Helen. It sure is good to see you here again. I survived my morning nicotine fix and have already started on another portion. I evidentally have a very high level of nicotine addiction. Surprised? NO! I tried that Wii fit board. I got it for my wife last Christmas and she pretty much hasn't gone past the part where you set up your character. If you really want to have some fun, pick up guitar hero. You can even sit down and play it if you want to. I don't play as much as I used to but still get it out once in a while. I need to get off my .... and practice with my real guitars more.

i could see taking a day off easily turning into multiple days off.makes sense.
that interesting that asics cause shin splints for you, they have really helped mine but i still feel like i need a bit more arch support.what kind of nikes are you running in?

sitting on the deck with the wife enjoying the weather. we just finished grilling and eating and she's gonna try running with me tonight.
General white portion ( still not a fan of this and i'm halfway through the can)

I use the Nike 360's. I like them but I wish the ball of the foot area was a little bit wider. I LIKE my asics, super comfy, but they make my legs hurt to the point of cramping up during my run.

I have a mexico fender strat, a 50th anniversary strat deluxe with the gold hardware, a washburn acoustic electric, and a cheap samick torino that has duncan humbuckers. Oh yeah and my first one was a cheap yamaha acoustic that is hard as hell to play. I'm not very good at all. I started taking some lessons at 29 and don't practice very much any more. It's always been just a hobby to me but I have always been very interested in music.

I got an email from Vaporer today and had to share this with you folks.

    SUBJECT: Gonorrhea Lectim

*A very important medical condition-Information about Gonorrhea Lectim

The Center for Disease Control has issued a warning about a new

virulent strain of this old disease. The disease is called Gonorrhea Lectim.

It's pronounced "Gonna re-elect 'em," and it is a terrible obamanation.

The disease is contracted through dangerous and high risk behavior involving putting your cranium up your rectum. Many victims contracted it in 2008...but now most people, after having been infected for the past 1-2 years, are starting to realize how destructive this sickness is.It's sad because Gonorrhea Lectim is easily cured with a new drug just coming on the market called Votemout. You take the first dose in 2010 and the second dose in 2012 and simply don't engage in such behavior again; otherwise, it could become permanent and eventually wipe out all life as we know it.

    Howdy everyone.

I'm not surviving the nic fits as well as I should. Oh wells... at least it isn't much. Yesterday was a rough day. Nice collection you have there Hitt... I always thought Guitar Hero looked like loads of fun (I pretended to play a real guitar and a bass a bazillion years ago, don't even remember the little I learned back then) so maybe I'll ask Santa for the G.H. instead of fitness crapola.

I really should do something to work out a bit. Honestly, I have no reason really. OK, I could use some muscle tone. I'm afraid I'd lose weight if I do anything like running or the elliptical (we have one) since I'm struggling to keep weight on these days (yeah, stop rollin yer eyes... it's no fun). So I guess weight training would be best (we have some monster thing with cables, weights and benches on it in the "work out" room that I only touch to dust once in a while and vacuum around it. No idea how to use it.). Dunno... I've never really done much exercises other than cutting tree limbs and doing yard work, housework, and carpet cleaning (the master suite upstairs which I did today, whew!). You know, the stuff that nobody really counts.

Yay... a rare day at home. Big bonus today was finding out that about 1300 files I thought were gone forever were stored over at APlusNet hosting on hubby's old business website. Bad news was that they'd shut it down this morning since he'd closed it down when he decided he hasn't done anything with it for well over a year. I called Customer Service and the guy at APN was nice enough to reinstate his service for the day and help me get a FTP program downloaded (FileZilla is awesome) and get everything moved over to my laptop. Lots of old family and friends photos that I forgot all about. Nice surprise to find the files and photos for all the articles I wrote a few years ago were on there (I thought they were gone forever on my old laptop hard drive that fried).

Just finished dragging a room size carpet outside to clean with the hose. Dog barf on it discovered when I thought I'd try some stretches and knee push-ups - LOL!! Good excuse NOT to do them I guess. Any excuse will do these days.

I'm safe! Kept my head on my shoulders through the whole thing. Ha.

Time for a glass-o-wine (shhhh, I'm not suppose to have any, but am counting it as exercises lifting the glass), a bit of Honey Menthol and an off key sing along with Lynyrd Skynyrd :)headbang:Sweet Home Alabama:headbang: ) while trying to decide on what to make for dinner... blech.

Where do you ppl get all those brands of snuff. Are you in Europe? I don't even know if snuff is available in U.S. I am just now exploring my options for quitting the smoke. I'm getting these willy extreme cravings for "something" I can't put my finger on it. I think I need some smokeless tobacco, but can't stand the thought of spittin' and getting those pit of the stomach growls that feel like puking. Could somebody enlighten me?

Well sounds like you had a full day there Helen. You can count lifting that carpet as exercise. The dog barf is as good of an excuse as any I've heard for not exercising.

PGVG, there is also snuffstore.co.uk. I have ordered from them before and the shipping was pretty cheap and they have a wide selection of nasal snuffs. As far as snus, I would use either snuscentral or getsnus. Ordering from toque is nice because they don't charge shipping. I have ordered from mrsnuff that firechick mentioned a few times. They are very good to deal with also.

Helen, now you have to find another place to store the files before your equipment blows up again. I started using Mozy which gives you 2gb free and unlimited for something like five bucks a month. I have it auto update at night. So much easier than the old days of saving to disks or cd. Just an idea I came up with will

    drinking my ice water and
    lipping a wintergreen

Darn it Hitt, you keep bringing up snuff so much that I had a few cans in a cart at Togue two days ago and then thought better of it and held off. Now you have me thinking again. I need another habit like I need......another habit. I still am not sure I want to sniff something other than air now that I can breath again. However, if you keep talking......

PGVG, welcome to this side of the tracks. Give snus a dry. The only side effect I've noticed was occasional niccups if I had too high a nic level portion at the wrong hour of the day. They go away fairly easily. Got rid of that feeling for me almost immediately. Perhaps a smoke shop somewhere near you carries General snus where you could get a feel for it. The difficulty today is that it gets expensive to place small orders online with the PACT act. If you find it works then you could consider larger orders which reduce delivery charges per can. Good luck

Hello all... I've been a smoker and a dipper, glad they are both behind me. However, I created a blend of e-liquid using Copenhagen pouches that only cost $12 and has really helped hit the nic craving spot. If anyone is interested in checking out how, look at my post under New Members Forum:

Making your own nicotine e-liquid with Copenhagen pouches

Let me know what you think, all feedback is greatly appreciated.

That's awesome man - if i'd have known there were other musician types around we could have been derailing this thread with gear talk :).I build and repair tube amps and effects pedals every day and have built up quite the little collection of vintage equipment over the years.
anyway - at the moment i'm enjoying some post run ( right at 3 miles again tonight) H20 and hot cocoa with a grov portion.
I've not found too many portions that don't go well with hot chocolate :)

aaah cool. All the poeple i've talked to that use nike's tend to agree that they are made for people with high arches. The asics are really comfortable but the more miles i put on them , the more i think i need more arch support and a little less room in the toe box.I'll try on some nike's next time i'm in the the ol' shoe-ery.

Stub, you have a place on the Jamaican Marathon team also. When I gave up sports my chiro had to raise rates to make up the losses. I paid in advance for 10 visits some five or six years ago and he still owes me a few. Can I sell them on Craigslist.

I'm very attracted to being a coxswain. That's a job I might be able to do. Curling is another possibility as I live in the curling center of the US. :2cool::2cool:
