That's a very cool story roth. My father in law likes to take our kids to the disabled veterans thrift store. They have a lot of fun going with him and usually come back with a treasure or two. We always donate stuff there too. Five cans a day huh? That could sure get expensive quick. You better get an order in now so you don't run out before it gets here. You might want to start some tobacco plants in the spring to subsidize a habit like that.:p

That must be quite a ways from here. I've never heard of that place but I guess they could head for KC as easily as anywhere.

"In Pattonsburg, a city of 260 residents 75 miles north of Kansas City, the lone school was locked down Monday and members of the fire department were sent door-to-door to tell residents to be vigilant."

Don't worry hitt, I'm up all night. I got yer back.........

I sold that piano some fifteen years ago and I swear it showed up at the thrift store I volunteer at about six months ago. It looked like the piano and the date on the inside was the right time frame for when it was originally purchased. Unfortunately, my 91 year old mother couldn't remember where they had bought it. I might have given it another go. Nah, just imagining

:w00t:...Lemme guess, you named it Christine.....

Good morning. Wow TV that town is closer than I thought it might be. Hopefully they headed a different direction.

My work is still really busy again this week and to make it worse I have a bad attitude. I don't much feel like being here at all. I guess it's better to be busy to make the time pass quicker. I had a really pushy customer call yesterday that insisted I make a service call to their location today even though I told them that I was running a couple days behind and probably wouldn't be able to make it until Wednesday. They insisted that it had to be done today so the billing will be adjusted accordingly. We started a few years ago charging extra for rush work like this. If I'm not too busy then we don't do it but when I'm behind and we have to make customers wait so that we can bump someone to the front then the hourly charge goes up about 25 percent. Sometimes I wish I could just do my work and let someone else deal with the customers but it doesn't work like that. Oh, time to put on a smile and get to work. Ok so maybe it's more of a scowl than a smile but it's the best I can do right now.:) Working on putting a smile on my face with:

    30mg vape
    Toque Christmas pudding

Bad attitudes can happen when people are unreasonable, Hitt!

    TV, it's a date!!

Hey guys, guess what? It is my one year quit date today!!!!!!!!!! Just realized that this morning while wandering (um...working hard) around work.

Just got done with a 3 mile run on the stupid piece of crap treadmill (it is actually a quite nice one except for being inaccurate), have to shower, get my daughter to dance, pick up groceries and supper at subway, pick her up from dance, rush the kids through dinner, get to both of their school conferences, and magically get my son to his haircut appointment on time. Sometimes there just aren't enough snus portions in a day. I feel like chipmunking them at the moment.

Congrats Axl, that's great. That's a wonderful milestone. I see you joined in March so I assume you went for some seven months till you finally got totally off cigarettes, curious about the path. I went the same amount of time with limited cigarettes until I finally found snus and I'm now between month eight and nine smoke free. I'd like to hear about those first half dozen months.

CONGRATULATIONS AXL! Sounds like you have a nice relaxed evening planned. Just kidding. I was wondering since we've been talking about exercise so much, if anyone besides me has ever done their workout with a portion in? Sorry about the whining again. I do get rather tired of working my .... off while watching others sit on theirs at work. I just keep my mouth shut like a good employee and go on my way. "ASH launch new campaign
Campaigners call for desert island smoking ban

Anti-smoking campaigners have called a smoking ban on desert islands "the next logical step" in the war against second- and third-hand smoke. Deborah Arnott, director of Action on Smoking and Health, is leading a campaign for a total smoking ban across the world's islets and archipelagos: "It is a common misconception that smoking on a patch of land in the middle of the ocean poses no threat to others," she said.

"But we know there is no safe level of secondhand smoke. Cigarettes contain 4,000 chemicals which can travel hundreds of miles, contaminating nonsmokers, especially children, in neighbouring countries and pose a particular risk to passing sailors, especially children. There is overwhelming evidence that toxins remain on the torn trousers of shipwrecked travellers for years, which poses a serious health threat to potential rescuers, especially children."

At the moment there is little evidence that secondhand smoke can travel over international waters but scientists at the UK Centre for Tobacco Control Studies have promised to study the issue. "We'll get the evidence, don't you worry about," Arnott said. "For too long people have used loopholes like living thousands of miles from civilisation as a way to get around the hugely popular smoking ban. We need to send a clear message to smokers: we will track you to the ends of the earth."

ASH's new campaign has received high profile support from Glasgow-born millionaire Duncan Bannatyne and former desert island resident Man Friday.

Speaking at a press conference organised by Pfizer, Mr Friday said: "For most people, a desert island is a place to get away from it all and listen to their favourite records. They forget that for people like me it is a workplace and we deserve the same protection as other workers. By their very nature, desert islands tend to be unregulated and it is people like me and the fat kid with glasses from Lord of the Flies who end up paying the price."
But critics accused campaigners of going too far. Simon Clark of the smokers' rights group FOREST said: "This is just another example of the nanny state gone mad. Many desert islands are already struggling to attract ship-wreck survivors and this proposed legislation will finish them off. And it's unenforceable. This is just the precursor to banning smoking across whole countries."

In response to the accusation that ASH's real goal is to ban smoking indoors and outdoors in every country in the world, Arnott said: "Have you been reading my diary?""

Roth, my journey was like this. Valentines day 09 I asked my hubby for an ecig. He ordered it and it finally came in March, and that is when I joined the forum. (I was a pack a day smoker for about 12 years). It was a smoke51 ecig. Blah flavors and all but I did like it. I used it for a few weeks, nearly quit the ciggies and then I am not sure what happened. I just stopped using it and went back to smoking. No reason at all. Then last Oct 26 I chucked my partial pack and 2 or 3 unopened packs and all of my lighters out of my car window on the way to work. (ya, I know, literer). That night I dusted off my ecig and started using it again. THen I started using vapor4life stuff, which was MUCH more enjoyable. I didn't ever buy ciggies again, but I got pretty stupid and was living in a fog. I found myself unable to vape late January and that is when I found this forum and snus. SOOO, that is my journey.

HItt you are funny! Does it work to run with a portion in? I've never thought of trying that. Interesting.

No need to apologize about the work thing. I totally understand working ones .... off while others sit idle. Where I work there are three employees. Me, a tiny girl from laos who works her .... of and....the boss's son. The son shows up around noon, does what he feels like and leaves when he feels like. The boss is aware that this is going on but won't do anything about it. Nikki and I worked 10 hours above our usual all month but the son's hours didn't change. God forbid he actually go above and beyond. He might chip a nail or something! So you are not alone!!

Well Axl I was thinking that if nic raises your heart rate then would running with a portion give you a more intense workout? I just did it once when I was having a craving and needed to workout. It didn't hurt. I just finished my workout. The run was a little tough tonight. Ok gutter, its your turn.

    Hiya guys!
Congrats on the milestone axl-a year is long time especially when you consider how often we all use to light up.

    Hitt -
i can't run or workout with snus in.It seems like if i don't snus for the hour or two before that my endurance is alot better and i don't get so winded.
as an aside, my toque order came in today and this peppermint is something else.I dig it. most everything else is airing out right now but that absinthe smells amazing too.
How often do you guys snuff if you don't have snus in? is it just me or would it be completely possible to chain snuff?

Evening all. Just got done eliminating hotels for my birthday in two weeks and two days. We got tickets to see Roger Waters The Wall at the Wachovia Center and decided to eliminate the late ride home. It should be fantastic if I forget how much it cost to get it done. It sounds like the concert is incredible, but all I can think of is that I might have been watching TV is he had only practiced eight hours a day instead of four. Well, just thinking and

Gutter, my snuff usage varies from day to day and for some reason don't hardly use any at home. I did just take a couple pinches of honey menthol though. I have a bullet of the absinthe and it was ok but I never went back and used it again after I tried it the first time. During the day at work I probably have anywhere from two to eight pinches depending on my mood. I almost always have a portion in during work so I am snusing and snuffing at the same time along with sneaking the occasional puff on my pv. From what I can tell I have a fairly strong nic and maoi addiction. Not to mention alot of times I still get strong cravings after lunch at work. I wish I could say I've been smoke free for as long as Axl but it would be a lie and there's no reason to do that.

Roth, that sounds like a really good time. Does anyone else get the Palladia channel on cable? I find myself watching that fairly often. I recorded Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in concert but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. They have a lot of good recorded concerts on there.
