Many years ago we used refillable ink pens. It was messy, spilled ink, and you had to carry around ink bottle. Then someone invented ball-point pen. Wow! What a difference! Today many of you don't even know there was such thing as refillable pen. So, what's up with e-cigarettes? Isn't it time for a ball-point pen??? How much longer we will fight crap that doesn't work, is messy, and requires lot of maintenance?

Here is some interesting reading, the whole article can be seen here:
The Fountain Pen - Lewis Waterman

"Lewis Waterman patented the first practical fountain pen in 1884. Writing instruments designed to carry their own supply of ink had existed in principle for over one hundred years before Waterman's patent."

Now here's the history on Ecigs, another very interesting article:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/casaa/56715-history-electronic-cigarettes.html

So in reality, if you have for example, a Reo as stated above, you are in there!

How many years did it take to get to ball points, history teacher?

Don't forget the ashes and the yellow stains.

Cigarettes are horrible for your mouth but dips the worst...I had like average teeth in general, no cavaties and all that jazz, but i had to teeth rotting from the bottom where i used to pack lip... Right near the nerve too hurt like hell when they got drilled...Such dusgusting habits, I didn't even chew that much or for that long e.e...I'm turning twenty on wednesday, I value my life to much to go back to cigs...I wan't my lungs to work, I don't wan't to not be able to jog a mile, I wan't my manhood to be working for the majority if not for all my years, and so on...The e-cigarette completely eliminates all withdrawals, feening, and everything else...It doesn't give me quite the same nic buzzz but who cares...Such an excuse would be no more than lazy and .....y...Peach cobbler PG by v4l is the hardest one so far I can't get a full drag without coughing...Seemed like such an easy one o.o

Lol. OK, let's all remember that there's a learning curve on these things... and that we all (well most of us) got a bit frustrated with e-cigs when were just starting. I too want an e-cig that:

1) has 2000 mah in a cig sized battery with a
2) 3 ml "forever" carto that doesn't taste nasty, doesn't leak
3) doesn't wear out after 3 days of vaping
4) never needs cleaning
5) vapes like freight train
6) is vari-volt too.

The form factor/atty/cartos are not there yet. It'll get better over time.

Your question is about like asking the Wright Brothers isn't it time for an F-16 or a 747. How long did people use fountain pens before they started using ball points? How long did people use quill pens before they went to fountain pens? Tobacco was found in the New World and it took till the early 50s to get to the filter cigarette that most of us used. PVs have only been around since 2003.

The other thing you have to keep in mind is the market. There's no way in 2003 when the PV was developed that something like an eGo would have gained widespread use. Just look how many people still come on here insisting on something that looks like a cigarette. You had to get a base of people vaping that weren't satisfied to have a market demand to address. Now some pretty strange mods are becoming acceptable in the market. There are devices that hold some promise.

As a for instance, take a look at the Boge revolution. The whole device is disposable atomizer and all. It's a little pricey for a disposable device but, if it lasts more than 6 months trouble free, maybe it's worth it. It's also the only device I know of that makes any attempt to address one of the problems with PVs starting out. You can program it to have a finished. I don't own one and I'm not saying that it's the greatest thing around. It is however innovative. Changes are coming. Sorry, you are dissatisfied with the pace.
