How long have you had your Riva? If new, contact the company you purchased it from.

my riva is just horrible takes over a day to charge

Both batteries? Mine takes an hour or two to charge. I think your charger is bad and may have even damaged the batteries.

Something is wrong. Your Riva should perform just as good as your 510s if not better.

If the LR atty popped... it may have taken the battery with it.

Pretty common actually.

Check your charger, you may have a standard 510 charger instead of one for the Riva/ego
Check your input and output voltage....and the mA input and output...
You should be able to find this on the part of the charger you screw the Riva into.
Next, if you are not using your computer to plug the USB Charger into, you need to look for the same things on the wall adapter.

They both should have an output of 400-500mA if it is lower than that, odds are you are using the wrong charger or adapter

I had a similar issue after a week with my Riva. Turned out I didn't pay enough attention to maintenance. Once I gave the battery and charger connector a good clean with some isopropyl alcohol, charging and battery life went back to normal. May be worth giving that a try.

Speaking of which...I better do all that tomorrow... :)

OMG!! You're like the man!! I believe I have watched more than one of your videos on cleaning atties.

I mean I don't really know you but you seem sincere in your videos about knowing what your talking about and that would make sense. But then again it popped after i had a problem charging it and i tried using even though the green light didn't come on. It wasn't fully charged now it has a hard time heating up a reg atty.

Since this whole bunch of BS and being short on cash from my custody battle, I plan on buying a box mod and I really like the looks of the Ali'i by R&R but they don't have the variable volt in that model yet- and I really like the wet box but I want a higher voltage. I used my buddy's 6v and loved it. It was right on every time but his was not a feeder. Since i'm on the road alot I need something so i don't have to drip- but want it to work consistent every time.

Have any suggestions?

Well.... I fixed that up for you. Hopefully the meaning was captured by the edit.

If the battery is bad... there's not much you can do. You can try cleaning the threads on the battery and atomizer with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol. Make sure it's firmly screwed into the charger when you charge it. But an atomizer popping or shorting can take a battery out- AND LR atomizers do fail very frequently compared to normal ones.

I'd get a new battery. But instead of buying one big one, try getting three medium ones (eGo batteries?). That way if one fails you are not stranded.

(As a side note- I am not "the man"... I am *a* man- I hope you found the vids helpful)
