I've seen these a lot lately but can't figure out why I should buy one. It sounds like the dna chipset does pretty much the same as my T-Priv but costs considerably more. In some cases, a Lot more than my T-Priv. Can someone tell me why I should overlook the pricing and buy one of these. The fact that I noticed all the Blue mods were out of stock means that the shinyitis is trying to take over again and make me buy something. (Preferably Blue)

The DNA you can customize pretty much everything about the device(presets, temp resistance, screen settings, battery monitoring and setup, custom curves, automatic coil material identification, 98% accuracy, accurate and working temperature control, etc)
Not one of my Smok devices can do anything close to that(Alien, H-Priv, G-Priv, GX350, GX2/4)

I haven't played around with changing the settings too much but I did install a custom theme on it that I enjoy seeing. I would probably work at adjusting it more but I don't have a computer at home.

Are you saying that I would be able to make adjustments to the mod using my computer?

As @Kickingthesticks just said, it's about excellent temp control. There are lots of ways to customize stuff like look and feel, but the bottom line it's all about highly precise temp control and tools to refine it to your preference/tanks/builds. If you're a wattage user only, not much of a benefit other than a well built board, not sure if it justifies the price tag for a non-temp control user.

What everybody else said, I used to dislike TC (even Yihi's) until I got a DNA 200 and some ss304 it's liking vaping in wattage mode but it's instant vapor and dry hit prevention. Another thing I'll add is they're extremely reliable if you get a well built mod, I have around 40,000 puffs on my Therion 166 and I've never had one issue and I mean zero issues every one of those puffs has been accurate.

I only have one DNA, I seldom use tc, and it is still my favorite. I have several I enjoy, but Therion is my first love. I honestly can't tell you why, is what it is. :smokie:

The Therion just plain looks great, and feels like a well made mod without spending top dollar on a custom built fancy something. It is hard to not turn to it every day as it just looks and feels right. I do, however, only use it in TC mode. Nothing wrong with wattage, I just like the performance of TC with the kind of coil builds I use.

Now that I have the Acer I really should get Escribe and at least set my curves. I've read they can give a great consistent vape similar to tc. Someone told me awhile back with the drop downs it's relatively easy to learn. Not sure if they realized who they were talking to!:lol:

Curves for Kanthal? You can do that. It will mimic a TC sorta vape. May be finicky to set up as you won't be able to use Device Monitor to see what the actual temps are as you fudge the curve. The same is true on all the other mods that offer custom power curves, so no loss.

I have only been using 316l for awhile, seems I've finally found my go to wire. So glad, I don't miss trying new types wire. Now I just try new gauges. Need to pif my other spools and coils.

So I'm still kind of new and still trying to master VW vaping. I kind of look at TC as "advanced" vaping. I used to repair CTs and MRIs so I should be able to figure this stuff out. Consistent vapor and dry hit prevention sound like pretty good things to have. UhOh. Sweaty palms and feeling a little feverish. It 's another one of those shinyitis attacks coming on. Woe is me.

I own several mods including a Therion. This was my one experience with DNA vaping. It fires very fast and gives a very smooth vape. I got tired of trying to get 316L to work on my single coil rta's with the Therion. You have to be a bit of a computer geek to enjoy using escribe. I have several mods that produce a very enjoyable tc vape with 316L wire without all the extra hassle of playing with escribe. I eventually just use my DNA mod for vw vaping. I don't want to work that hard at vaping. Very nice build quality on the Lost Vape.

If you can fix an MRI, TC shouldn't be all that difficult. You don't even have to remember to not have any metallic objects on you at the time.;)
