Been a day or so now and the reply box at the bottom of the threads is different/. When you click in the box to type, the "Write your reply here..." text doesn't vanish and the text is very light and hard to see as are the emojis in the emoji picker. This happened right after I got the new cookie settings modal yesterday, where you had to pick your cookies settings.

Is it the same for you?

No. Mine's fine (similar to what it's always been).

Are you running Chrome? I know they did an update yesterday (or so). Any chance it's related?

Other than that, I might try clearning my cache to see if that resolved it. Jeez!!!

Well apparently this is a localized issue so that's good to know. It works find on Chrome, although once I was able to replicated the problem on Chrome. It's a mainly firefox issue. I'll have to run FF in safe mode to se if the problem goes away then possibly restore my FF install.

It could also be an add on to the browser. Disable all add ons to see if things go back to normal. Then add them one at a time to find the culprit.

That's why I'm going to run FF in safe mode tonight. FF safe mode runs FF with all add-ons disabled. Then I can see it maybe it's an add-on and if it's not then I will backup FF then refresh/restore/reinstall it.

Ok well, I just now got around to troubleshooting this FF issue. Fist step, started FF in safe mode. Problem still exists. This is a good thing because with the amount of add-ons/extensions i have, it would be a real pain to have to troubleshoot which ones are causing the issue.

That leaves me with an easier next step: Refresh/restore my FF installation.

Will report back when I've done that, because I know y'all are waiting with baited breath.

I'm not seeing that. Of course, I know nothing about picking cookies.

I backed up my FF profile and did the FF refresh. The problem persists, but only on threads I have visited in the past. So I ran cleanup tools to clean browser and system cache again. Nothing. Then I cleaned up browser cache within FF settings area and still the problem persists on threads I have visited before. Restarted my 'puter a couple times even.

My next step is to complete uninstall and reinstall FF. After that, I'm gonna have to give up and just live with this annoyance.

Yup, it only happens on threads that I have visited recently. I can't define recently, but I rarely go to the Shiny thread and it didn't do it there, but when I left then went back, the problem was there just as the threads I frequent. Same as all the other threads I tried that I never visited in my life. Go back then I have the problem.

The problem is worse now. I'm currently running on a fresh install of FF, completely vanilla. And not only does the problem still exist, but now it's happening on all threads, not just ones I have visited recently.

Now to restore my profile, but this behind me and just live with this annoyance.
