I started vaping with what I believe was 100% PG Juice (E-Liquid).

From reading through the ECF I believe that VG produces more vapor than PG.

I just tried out some samples of 50/50 PG/VG juice.

My thoughts so far;

When using the higher VG juice I was blowing out such a big cloud of vapor that I'm waving it away with my hand to clear the air.

I feel that if I vaped this juice in a public place that I would draw to much attention. I would prefer less vapor production especially since vaping is so new to the general public. I would also imagine that it would be hard to stealth vape with this much vapor.

I know, use less VG or pure PG. My point being is that I read through the forums, watch the youtube videos, and all you hear over and over is about how the vapor production is great. I've even commented about good vapor production in a past post. I don't understand why vapor production is so important when using E-Cigs or in the reviews.

IMHO I really don't see the benefit of more vapor. (with the exception of making awesome smoke rings)

Can you please share your thoughts about the hype over more vapor production.

I think for many smokers the vapor is what helps convince us that we are getting the nicotine we want. It's a psychological thing. When we see that cloud of vapor, it's like our brain realizes that it has its "fix" on the way. Quite honestly, smoking wouldn't be smoking without the smoke. And, vaping helps to replace that visual stimuli with the vapor.

1. psychological you can better see how good a drag you got

2. some people say the VG thicker vapor adds lung hit - more of a full feeling of the lungs - and some people look for that more than TH

I usually vape 70pg/30vg when offered, some prefer 80pg/20vg, some like 50/50, some vape all PG or all VG

(all PG is makes the nicotine too harsh on my tongue but I will occasionally vape it)

I'd have to agree with #2. For me it's the sensation I get drawing the vapor in. With straight PG, that sensation is diminished. I'll also agree with the psycological 'draw'. heh

I want good vapor and TH...I use 100% VG for the most part, but I guess I get a nice TH from using 24mg juice. As for vapor and stealth vaping...I don't stealth vape. I'm a "chips on the table" vaper...yes, it draws jealous looks from smokers who have to go outside while I'm nice and warm, but they want and need to see my PV acting like an analog or they won't be tempted to switch.

That being stated, I will cease and desist if asked...I just haven't been asked. Usually it's bouncers with "YOU NEED TO PUT THAT OUT...oh..." I love it!

well as I stated before, I am: taste > TH > vapor
Unfortunately I am having issues with PG (even PG mix). It just dries my throat out so bad and I walk around all day constantly clearing my throat. It is very annoying. So I guess I'm going to be forced to switch to VG. I really don't like the idea of pure VG due to the diminished flavor. Nicotine is really not an issue for me as I have been switching to lower amounts because I tend to vape frequently.
