I can't seem to vape anything over 18mg or else I get mouth ulcers, like throwing paint thinner at the wall, don't understand the biological mechanics of it but so long as I stay below an 18mg limit my mouth stays healthy.

This sucks because I have a 50ml bottle of awesome Dekang RY4 24mg waiting to be vaped, I'll blend it with a milder tobacco of weaker strength to avoid issues.

I started at 24 two months ago.... still have some on hand for those nic-fit moments.... and am currently using mostly 18 with a few 15s.... next step we'll be twelve..... then when I'm ready, lower still....

And sorry, but you *LIKE* Dekang RY4??? ..... I got a 10ml in 12mg and tried it last night. To me it tasted like a mild "ok" tobacco, with a hint of earwax! lmao...... doubt I'll be vaping it again.

as the tittle says what mg do you vape the most during the day?

I was at the level of all day 24mg and now I am split 50/50 with 18mg and 12mg!

That's the way. You tell those cigs who's boss. :toast:

The only time I've ever had a real jones for a cigarette was about 2-3 weeks into my vaping journey, and no amount of vaping made it go away. I vaped myself dizzy trying to kill that craving. Turned out I was just exhausted, which is apparently a huge trigger for me.

Makes sense in hindsight. I'm a 33-year-old full-time post-secondary student (well, at least until this coming April. :) ) with two kids, and a lot of project-based classes in which the mark is based on two or three projects for the semester. Hence I'd pull all-nighters at least once per month to get in the time required to do well. I'd be outside about every half hour come 3 in the morning, both to give my brain a break and get another dose of oh-so-stimulating nicotine.

Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled thread.

MR. Mike Congrats on what appears to be a return to school and all the best.

PS we'll help you with your homework

I started out with all 24mg juices and learned quickly that I love chain vaping when I'm at home. Found a couple of yummy juices out of my first bunch (Pink Spot and Jamaican me crazy by PS) and vaped myself sick one night. Since then I've settled on 18mg (or what's left of my 24's) during the day and 9-12mg at home when I'm vaping like a fiend! :D

I started vaping at 24mg and it made me feel very unfocused for a week or so but that does go away as you get rid of all the chemicals you've been storing from smoking for so many years. I had mouth ulcers and bloody gums, nose and throat issues too.
I went down to 14-18 and it seemed to be okay but wasn't quite satisfied either even though I didn't crave a cigarette.
I continued reading here and every other forum for info of all kinds!
I came upon a thread in another forum about a new mixer/juice who had been experimenting with WTA's and figured I would try some of that simply because he had the most extensive flavorings list I have seen to this day and everything was made as it was ordered so it was "fresh. This is commonplace nowadays.
That person turned out to be Ethan who had a more extensive knowledge on the topic {as did Dvap, kinbaloo and others!} and I thought there might be something to their theories!
Turns out they were absolutely right.
That first batch of WTA's I bought helped turn my unfocused feelings, sleepless nights and the notion that something was missing into a tremendous feeling of calm chill steadiness, just as if you finally get a point someone's been making all night and you go "AHA"!
If you are still having a need to smoke even after vaping high nic eliquids perhaps it's time to try something that can help you.
It gave me my focus back helped lift some depression and it made me feel calm again like after you smoke a analog.
For many it works, for some it doesn't but it is a tool you should consider if you're having problems and yo-yoing up and down on nicotine.
I still find that people have a notion that you should be going down on your nicotine consumption and I don't know why folks believe that.
There isn't any hard or fast rules about vaping other than to do what feels best for you! As for me I have no intention of ever going down on my nic intake since I don't believe it is any more harmful than drinking coffee everyday.

I've been chain vaping since I started near the end of October...WAY more than I ever actually smoked. Because of that, I started at 12mg, dabbled in 16mg and 6mg. The 6mg experience left me wanting, 12mg has been okay, especially given how much I vape, but the 16mg was pretty satisfying.

Now that I've started just tonight doing the DIY, I'll be experimenting with a 24mg strength to see why it appears to be so common among you.

If you're finding 16 satisfying, 24 won't probably be enjoyable. I started at 24 coming off ciggies, and am down to 18ish most of the time now. I find when I "chain vape" I can't pick up the 24 or I over do it quick. If you (like me) enjoy hauling on it while your thinking (chain-vaping) I'd suggest more of less, instead of more of more. After all, why do you want to "up" your nicotine?

My suspicion of why it's so common is heavy smokers switching and needing their fix.... and people who have no desire to lower their intake or give up stronger throat hit. I understand staying at the level you're at. I understand the motivation to drop levels. But there seems no good reason to me to raise it (sure, it's not as bad as some think, but it is still a toxin) if you're satisfied.

Kind of one of those "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" things....

PS we'll help you with your homework

Thank you, sir. It's been almost 2.5 years and I'm still enjoying myself, even though I could do with a caffeine IV and a list of very convincing reasons why I went back right about now.

Five more months, and I'll finally have, weight-for-weight, one of the most expensive items in the world: a sheet of paper with a wax seal on it.

Best thing you could do to help with my homework is invent a 36-hour day. Sigh. Any takers?

Back to it, I guess. At least I don't have to leave the room for smoke breaks any more.

Oh no, no, no...I've no intention on any kind of gradual increase, I just want to try it (which is simply made quite inexpensive now that I DIY because I'm certain that it won't be for me). On any kind of regular basis, I don't plan on ever going over 16mg. Even the 16mg that I have I only vape on occasion.

My first few juices were 18 but I wanted to be low when I switched so I use 6-10 mg now. It was hard the first few days going from almost a pack a day but it's good now 5 days into officially quitting. I find throat hit for me is more about quantity of vapour than nic content.

I started out at 18ml and was content just not smoking. I never really planned on lowering my nic level but about a month ago I started getting nauseous if I vaped too much. I switched my ADV to 12mg and its been much better. I guess if I start feeling sick again I'll switch to 6mg. Maybe some day I won't be addicted to nicotine.........

This is kind of how I've gone, too. I started at 24, but then my body started giving me signals that 24 wasn't cool anymore. I planned on decreasing to 18, but ended up going down to 12, without many issues. And here I sit. Actually, if I hit the DID too much at 12, I get kind of loopy, so I usually vape 9 in the DID and 12 in my other devices.

Anywhere between 16-20 for me. Different vendors have different strengths, but anything in that range does me well. But when I find a flavour I really like, I get spinny on it if the nic is too high. So if I find a new adv I may bump it down to 12 and see how that goes.

I'm not against the nic content, but it'd be nice to be totally free from the financial burden of my vices, y'know?

@Qcaj: Yeah I hear you. I've been addicted to nictotine longer than I haven't been and while I LOVE vaping I hate being a slave to the addiction.

@MisterMike: I wish I had the patience to get a good vape from my DUD ......one of these days I'll take another stab at it. I would love to see what the fuss is all about!
