I am a photographer with my own photography business. It's as short and sweet as that!
I assemble magazines for rifles. The fun part of my year is taking a break from that to work on a project assembling M4s and M16s.![]()
Sounds like fun! About 5 years ago, I rebuilt the dies that stamp out parts for 60 and 100 round AR magazines. The company that originally built them screwed them up so bad that we pulled the dies from them during the PPAP stage and rebuilt them properly. It was a mess.
I'm a gunsmith now...unable to stand or walk without a cane or walker. Since that injury happened, I changed professions, and truly enjoy what I do. I still get to work with metal, as well as most of the tools I collected over 28 years in the tool and die trade. I personally have turned down AR/M4 type work in favor of shotguns and milsurp firearm work. I have nothing against those rifles, but there's so little gunsmiths able or willing to bring Grandpa's old firearm back to life.
Glad to find another enthusiast that's into firearms!
