So n00b questions. I just got my eVod kit last night and I'm very happy with the clouds but I notice flavors are muted. I'm running the stock 2.5 ohm atty. in the eVod clearo.

Curious what u guys have been doing to boost flavors on your BCC clearos. My first thought is to use a lower ohm atty. does this work? What else to boost flavors or is it just the nature of the BCC design?

FWIW......I've found the GENUINE Kanger coils run SLIGHTLY higher than rated.....thus, a 1.8 ohm coil will USUALLY measure out to 2.0 or 2.1.....they're what I've used since I started vaping this past July....I'm in the process of rebuilding my coils now; the winding/wicking I have down pat.....but INSTALLING them in that tiny head is a trick for my arthritic fingers, though!!:D 1.8-2.0 ohms gives you "wiggle room" to play with different voltages to "fine-tune" the optimum flavor from a particular juice.....
Going pre-built.....Discount Vapers has about the best price around.....
Good Luck!

As you seem to have already concluded, a VV device will give you a lot more adjustment to find the right vape. As you don't have a way to adjust the voltage, you have to adjust the resistance of the head to fine tune it to a vape you like.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the EVOD batteries are set at 3.7 volts output - so using a 2.5ohm head (assuming it is 2.5 and not any higher) means you are vaping at about 5.5 watts - which might be on the cool side for most people. If you can find a 1.8 - 2.0 ohm head, you might find it gives a little more flavor and vapor.

As for boosting the flavor, you'll find that the BCC does offer a cooler vape, but vaping between 7-8 watts will give you a lot more flavor than you are currently getting.

You could consider changing the ratio of the juice you are using too - a higher PG ratio will usually give a little more throat hit and a little more flavor - but not as much vapor.

So I had a 1.8 ohm cart with my unitank and tried that (in the unitank). I like it better. Warmer vape and better flavor. I guess I'll just have to order some 1.8s when I put in my order for some PT minis. Might as well try a TC design too and see how that works. Any advice for good top coils? I'm sir I'll be bugging y'all soon about more stuff. Have to say I'm enjoying the kanger kit overall though. Thanks!

If you prefer the 1.8 ohm coils over the 2.5 ohm, then you obviously prefer a slightly warmer vape. I use both, and when I use the 2.5, I turn my Twist to 3.6-4.2V, depending on the juice. When I use the 1.8, I turn it all the way down to 3.2, otherwise it tastes burnt to me.

As for top coild designs, they are plenty to choose from that work well. There are the CE4/CE5/CE6 eGo clearos, the Innokin 16 and 30, or the Vision Vivi Nova and Mini Vivi, STV, and V-Fate Nova.

Here is a video that shows the differences between the CE4, CE5, and the CE6:

I use T2 top coil clearos...yeah, I know they are ancient technology, but I just like them. I go thru the same thing as they usually come with 2.5ohm coils, which I immediately switch to 1.8ohm coils. (I use 3.7v batteries) I have just ordered my first eVODs and I ordered 1.8ohms replacement coils at the same time based on my prior experience.

The lower the ohms the more the watts produced at the same voltage value. Whether this will improve flavor or not will depend on your atomizer. One can achieve the same effect by raising volts/watts supplied across the coil. The only way to improve flavor is to get a better atomizer, or change up your juice mixture.

Well, there is a reason why good attys cost more. And: I've seen much more variance on cloned Evod-heads: Ordered some 1.8 Ohm and they had 2.5-3.1Ohm. Also the used wicks tasted uncleaned. Those Chinese sometimes just copy without thinking.
I now mostly use RBAs, but one or two Evods with microcoils and cotton wick at 1.2Ohm are always around if i go out in the dirt with the kids. Not much that can break and if it does -> not much harm done.
