Maybe a year or two back. I can't remember exactly but it was a discussed and debated topic. Nothing crazy, at least compared to normal social media stuff.
Nicotine vaping is bad, drug vaping is next to godliness. Ad serving companies will only allow drug vaping/smoking paraphernalia ads, but won't allow nicotine vaping ads (cigarette ads are forbidden by law as well).
These ads were popping up for quite a while before I started this thread. At first, the moderators didn't know how to address the situation of e-cig advertizers also placing ads for their other wares. It was not long after that the whole teenage EVALI scandal hit where THC vapes were injuring a certain areas of kids and the press was directly blaming e-cigarettes.
