I don't give into my cravings because I need to, I light one up on a Sunday afternoon because I want to. Like I said, I enjoy the one or 2 smokes a week. It doesn't make me want one the rest of the week. Just like some cigar smokers might have just one a month, because they get the slight craving and really enjoy it. There is nothing wrong with that. When I'm gone for a weekend, I don't even think about my usual Sunday smoke. Anyway, each to his own. :smokie:

"To each his own......." Quite true. For me, Its not a matter of not admitting anything to myself. I truly prefer the pleasure of vaping. The one analog I have had in the 2 months of vaping, was because of the one atty that has ever died on me, didn't have the consideration to do it while I was at home and had spares.

I reluctantly bummed a smoke from a coworker (because lets face it people I am still addicted to wonderful nicotine). While smoking it, I truly felt like I was missing out b/c I wasn't vaping. Its not a matter of vaping just to tide me over instead of smoking. To me vaping is soo much better.

It wasn't out of some ridiculous sense of guilt that I didn't enjoy the cigarette, its purely because to me, it wasn't as pleasurable. But this is only my opinion, and the way I feel. everyone is different.

When I first wake up in the afternoon/evening...always feel groggy and I expect to be able to smoke that newport to "shock" me awake. I just have my menthol DiY loaded up and ready for me to grab and I seem to lose the feeling very fast. I have smoked 1 cig since I quit, and the motion and feel felt very alien to me which seemed strange after only 2.5 months.

i work in the social work field and occasionally i have to go back to an old place i used to work. it's at a much faster pace with very little time for a cig break. on these days i'll just smoke analogs because when i only have 2 minutes to smoke, i need something reliable and quick.

other than that, i have no cravings for a regular cig.

i noticed how great an analog can feel in your hand/mouth though everytime i cheat and have some. that whole ritual of lighting it quickly with a lighter and that first drag are mervelous. but the taste in my mouth and the smell of myself after are so disgusting, i always realize how big a mistake it is for me if i don't "have" to smoke one.

also, i have to go through at least half a day of not feeling things as strongly through my senses after an analog, which is a bummer.

vaping lets me taste and smell and feel "good" throughout the day. one analog and my body feels a little bit like crap. a very "dull" feeling.

they are nice every once in a while, but at least if we slip up and have one, or choose to, it's always easy to jump right back into vaping again.

I completely agree with this.

I'm pleased to report that I don't crave analogs now. Stopped smoking September 2009, and I'd say it took about 6 months until I stopped thinking about cigarettes (getting home after work was the worst craving). Recently I was on a trip away and the mains battery charger for my mod stopped working, that did make me think about buying a pack of cigs, but only because I couldn't vape - I needed nicotine. I found a shop selling e-cig kits (USB charger) which kept me going until I got the mains charger fixed. I spent 5x on the kit what a pack of cigs would have cost but I didn't want to start the habit again.

Till this day I still have cravings for one when I wake up, even when I use higher nic...but I figured out a few weeks back that when I grabbed my coffee mug and hopped unto the ECF forum, I would quickly forget all about it...so now that is my morning ritual and no more saying what the heck and grabbing a cig since :)

Surprisingly, seeing people smoke or them smoking around me hasn't made me want a cig at all.. On rare occasions that I get really upset at the other half to be though, I do get the sudden urge to go to the fridge and lite one up and sometimes I did ...

I have been analog free for about 4 months now. I still seem to get random cravings for an analog occassionally, maybe once every other week for no good reason. Seriously, it is completely random. But, as others have said, A few good drags from my PV and I'm good to go.

I'm not sure that these random cravings will ever go away. I know people that quit smoking years ago and still have an odd craving come out of nowhere.

I think for me, the fall is going to be the challenge. I personally kind of like the way cigarette smoke smells (it's when you put the cigarette out that it really stinks.) There is nothing like the smell of an analog on a brisk fall day with a chill in the air. I guess I'll just stand close to a smoker and puff away on my PV.

Scratch that... There was a slight chill in the air just recently while I was vaping "Atomic Cinnecide"... I think I'm going to be just fine.

It's only been less than a week for me since my last analog, but I don't get any cravings for analogs. Maybe it's a state of mind thing... I'm convinced that my PV is far more satisfying than any analog could ever be. Tastes better, far healthier, I feel better every moment of every day without analogs, it's far cheaper, I don't stink of an ashtray anymore... so I basically end up pitying analog smokers. And I don't get any urges around analog smokers. My fiance is still smoking, sometimes I go out and join her when she smokes... me with my little sister and a nice RY4 blend... no urges whatsoever.
