my opinion, thinking if i was in the position of the fda, i would make it as private of an affair as possible.. PV's are still relatively unknown as far as the masses of america, and they want to kieep it that way. If they come out on the news with all of this two things will happen..
1. the american public will see through the charades and know the FDA is full of ****....
2. It will publicise PV's and make more people and smokers aware of them, which will be advertising for them, and even more people will pick them up , and the FDA is tryign to stamp them out asap before they become even more popular. Because if they are more popular, it will be harder to stop them..;)

The fear of the ban on this forum is emense I just hope people including myself do not get caught up in it agian. From now on I am just going to go directly to the source, FDA website and other sites like it and research it myself. From what I have researched it seems to me that they might classify the ecig as a medical device in which you would have to have a perscription to use it. I know my doc would give it to me becuase I showed it to her and she was all for it;) So I guess I do not have to worry if that is the outcome of the current investigation. Happy vaping:D

yea, most people are super conformists now that dont think for themselves8-o

Well, there are some people out there that know first hand what it's like to have the government involved in their lives and wish it never happened and are willing to do almost anything to keep it from happening again. And there are those who have seen first hand what happens to others when the government gets involved in their lives and don't need to be hit over the head before they learn it's not a good idea.

So, they conform, like myself for the very good reason that I do want to give anyone a good reason or even a poor excuse to take from me the things I have honestly earned and worked so hard to keep.

So go ahead take my e-cigs from me if they want. BUT, do not expect me to support and pay outrageous taxes on analog cigarettes. E-Cigarettes started me down the road to quitting regular tobacco and I refuse to go back to it. So the Big Tobacco industry still looses and so does the Government for the loss of revenues they will not collect.

And all the others out there, like myself, will live longer collect SS retirement and instead getting cancer and dieing young so all the Governement has to pay out on me is a meager 255 dollars? I will instead collect 900-1200 dollars a month till I die and put a bigger drain on the Social Security system not to mention the health care programs for Senior Citizens.

SO THERE!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt that the gubbment will ban ecigs.
They'll probably just find a way to slap a tax on them like they did analogs.
Too much greed to pass up that opportunity.
Deep down, they couldn't care less what the health implications are.

Our gubbment is our elected officials and all they care about is getting reelected and which (their) party is in power. They accidentally do some good on rare a occasions, most of the time it is bad news.

I think we should pay them to stay home 9 months of the year.
