Hi,

I have been vaping for a month. Started with a mini, to know it better. Moved to top tank model, now using an ego 650 mAh with 2 ohm, dual coil, bottom clearomizer. Today I experienced less vapor and there was no throat hit. I thought the coil needed a replacement and replaced. No improvement. After few puffs with new coil, the battery went down.Since day one, I have been charging the battery after considerable usage. Today I wanted to check how long it lasts.

After recharging the battery, it works good with the old coil (I took off and kept aside the new coil for next use)
I was wondering when should I charge. As I am not using a VV Battery, when should I recharge to get constant vape quality?

Thanks

As anything battery powered, you will notice a reduction in performance as you draw nearer to the end of the charge.
Your battery does not have a "memory", so I would say recharge when the lack of performance is not acceptable to you, or the button blinks to indicate the end of the usable charge. Either way, you will not be harming any part of your device.

As Kaezziel said, lithium ion batteries do not have a memory like the older nickle cadium batteries had. You can top off the battery charge at any time. In fact, topping off will prolong the life expectancy of the battery as opposed to draining it down completely before recharging.

A blinking battery indicates either the battery is close to being completely discharged, or there is a short in the coil in the clearomizer tank.

You will get better charging of the battery if you use an appropriate usb/wall plug adaptor with the charger, as opposed to using the usb port of a computer or car.

Hmm, on me router have both usb 2+3, hmm, but anywho, the accompanying power adaptor should always be used with ego anything. Some have different ideas on how many milliamps should be applied, my usb 3.0 port would blow many an ego, if like bought the brand no name variety.

and yeah, better charging to soon than to late, over draining ones batts shortens their usable life time. Tils why most always have spares. Never leave home with a partially drained apv, always fill up tank and batt. Juice needs juice to vape. :D

Vape long and Prosper.!!

Thank you. I use a wall charger. I understand, keeping the battery connected to power source even after it is fully charge could damage the battery, NOT recharging anytime I can to top up the charge. Is that right?

Thanks. Thinking of getting a VV Battery as spare :)

You CAN recharge at any time without doing any harm to the battery. It will in fact be better to top off the battery before it is fully discharged, than to discharge the battery completely before recharging it. Deep discharges are hard on the battery.

I replace mine when my vapor isn't the way it supposed to be. After a long while you can just "tell" when It's time.

Yes. I can understand. Now I have a feel that the good quality vaping power only lasts for 50 deep drags. btw.. does liquid level in tank matters in case of bottom coil?
