TYT falke .. reducing nic level will come when the time is right for you .. it took me 4-5 months to do that .. I started with 24 and I managed to lower it to 12 .. so don't worry about that .. and do not forget .. different people have different abilities to do that .. do it at your own pace :)
good luck
:)

Not sure what my own pace will be....I have everywhere from 12 mg nic to 24 mg in a variety of juices and flavors from many vendors and even some DIY that I started recently and am still chain vaping (doesn't matter what strength or flavor)...never get the buzz, or headaches etc (except when I tried some juices that had more PG in them) At this point (about 6 months since I started vaping), I'm not planning to reduce the nic strength. I'm thinking I want to try WTA juice to see if that makes me stop chain vaping and the occasional analog I still reach for daily. The variety of nic strengths and flavors aren't doing it for me completely. I'm just glad I don't smoke 1 -2 packs a day anymore and am only smoking 2-3 analogs a day.
To the OP, did you ever figure it out?

Personally, I would increase my nic level until I got to zero cigarettes, then I would reduce the nic levels as I was able. I would consider it counter-productive to use lower nic while I still craved a smoke.

Vape the hell out of it! The stronger the better (until it's beat) when the craving starts!

Just my opinion and what worked for me.

Relax, Enjoy!

I am new to the forum... Having said that, I tried a few of the cheap disposables from the local gas stations, but none worked quite as well as the first one I bought. Then, I bought my eGo-T last Thursday night. I got a great deal on my kit as well as the strawberry & apple juices I bought to try with it. So far, I'm loving it! I haven't really tried to limit myself on time or anything yet, but I think this thread has definitely given me a few answers. I signed up for the forum last week and have been looking up answers to almost every question I've had so far... Everyone on here (whether you know it or not) has been so helpful to me. The question posted here prompted my first post because I do find that I vape more than I smoked, but I do think that I'm still in the "awed novelty stage" of being able to vape in my house as my partner is allergic to analog smoke. It's been a very "freeing" experience for me and I'm excited about not having to go outside in the winter, lol. With the exception of the analog I bummed from a co-worker tonight, the last analog I had before then was Saturday night / Sunday morning. It's just really been nice to be at work (I'm a 3rd shifter at a hotel) and vape when I feel the need.

I've also been able to gauge that the two bottles I have are lasting longer than expected since I apparently don't vape as much as a pack-a-day smoker. I have heard that a bottle of juice should last a week for those that smoke that much, but as I didn't, it appears that mine are definitely going to last much longer as I've only emptied two of my cartridges as of yesterday! This is a very new and exciting thing for me.

Anyway, like I said its been helpful to read that I don't really need to worry much about limiting my vaping sessions and what signs to look for if I've had too much. I just basically wanted to say hello and thank you to all of the nice and helpful people on this forum. It seems like a community that I can feel comfortable asking questions in and knowing that someone probably has the answer I'm looking for. Thanks!!

Great thread! Twilight - I'm not too far into this as well but my vaping has increased even though I've been able to lower my mg levels. I think it's from what you pointed out as the convenience and novelty of it. Also trying out new things. I will say there were a couple of times I went into overload which I suppose is just from lack of experience about how this stuff can sneak up on you.
