I know drip tips are used so that they can easily be dripped through but i find that sometimes when i drip say 4 drops in it sometimes gets on the rim and when i put it in my mouth get liquid on my lips which isnt very nice.
I remove them when I still have the bridge on the Atty, if its De-bridged I leave it on.
The bridge is real close to the inside of the drip tip hole so the juice doesn't always go all the way down.
If it's been De-bridged the juice usually goes all the way in nice. No mouth-o-juice
But yeah! Six is right a couple of quick blows in the end usually settles the juice into the atty.
Blow across the top of the drip tip like you would do when trying to make a Coke bottle whistle.
That will get any juice stuck in the drip tip out of there.
You can tell the difference in sound when there is juice stuck and when there isn't.
And if there is juice stuck in there then you will hear the sound change when it gets cleared out.
Never remove my DT before dripping. That would be way too much work. Occasionally I will need to blow across the top of the DT for juice that gets stuck in the top but if that happens too often, I stop using that DT. I have plenty of others that rarely get juice stuck in the top.
I always take it off. Aside from being a really bad aim, I like to do it as part of the ritual. I try and make everything about the PV as ritualistic as when I smoked analogs.
I have bad eyes (farsightedness) but I drip with the tip on anyway. I just grip the PV like a hammer handle, and smack the heel of my hand against the palm of the other hand, hit the switch and take a hit. Occasionally I do get a bit of juice in my mouth or on my lip, but that's not a bad thing....I like the taste of RY4.
