So I can't stop singing the praises of e-cigs and what it's done for my life and that of my family, but I had to share this from this past weekend as it just proves the point of how life changing these things can be.

My beautiful wife (and best friend since we were 11), has hated the fact that I smoked analogs since the day I picked them up back in college (with good reason, of course). She turned a blind eye when she knew I'd smoked like a camel. She was cool with me smoking cigs on vacations "because I don't 'usually' smoke cigs, and, you know, I'm on vacation" knowing full well I was full of $#!+. She started to seriously get on my case when our first one was born and as she noticed I was "looking" older than my age (32), due to the way analog smoke ravages your skin and body. She really got on my case when her father had a heart attack a little over a year ago, partially due to smoking.

But with her help, I quit analogs and switched to vaping (which she supported on the grounds that anything but cigs had to be better) and we couldn't be happier. My lungs are coming back to me, my skin is clearing up, she practically mauls me with kisses and, more importantly, she (who's the family 'accountant') has actually budgeted "vaping money" so that I can enjoy the hobby that potentially saved my life.

So much so that this weekend, I was in need of a new atomizer and lower nic juice (the juice I was using was making my chest a bit tight and I suspected the nic was too high for me). We had both kids in tow (one a newborn) coming from a friend's birthday party and the only place that could supply me with the juice and atty was at the other end of the city (I live in New York) and I had 45 minutes to get there and, no doubt, there would be traffic. I figured it was a lost cause and would have to make due until Monday. Not so. My wife nursed the newborn so that she would be "pacified" for the trip, gave my 2 year old an iPad loaded with Disney movies, pulled out google maps with traffic indicator and got me to Jamaica, Queens with 5 minutes to spare before the shop closed. Even had me jump out of the car in front of the place so that she could drive off to a parking spot and avoid a ticket. One of the owners of VapeNY (vapeny.com) hooked me up with what I needed even though he was in a hurry to close up shop and head to a vape meet, himself.

Needless to say, she's a keeper! Seriously, I'm getting my girl expensive chocolates as soon as I head out of here. I might just marry this one

Lovely story, well done on several counts:

1- you quit tobacco!!!
2- you sound like you have a wonderful wife, I know the importance, married my high-school sweetheart and have 38 years together.
3- Two young ones who will benefit from your smart choice.

Ain't life grand, well done on your vaping decision, I agree, dropping tobacco was the wisest thing I have done for myself on many fronts.

They are making a huge difference in MY life too! Chantix, patch, gum, lozenges, nasal spray, shots...you name it, i tried it... even cinnamon sticks which i love, though one day actually LIT one without even thinking.. yuck!
...
vaping is working. i don't now why, or how, i just know that one day a couple of weeks ago i decided i was sick and tired of driving to the store if i was out of cigs. i was sick and tired thinking about them, i was tired of smelling stinky. I also kept having a recurring dream that i was suffocating. I'm 56. I've been smoking regulary, a PAD, since i was 19. I just hope i didn't push the envelope too far.

My only saving grace over the years may have been I have always exercised and I eat well, mostly organic and not much meat. sigh... we'll see.

Good luck to everyone here. This is a true lifesaver for me and I hope for yall too.

blueskies!

No worries! Coffee (love me some coffee juice) and NY4 (vapeny's take on RY4 which tastes damn good). They let you sample all their juices in the store (which I really should), but i zeroed in on what I like and stuck with it.

Oh, almost forgot - bought them at 4mg. Trying to work my way down from 18mg. Mixed an 11 and 4 for a nic amount I can vape all day without feeling like heaviness in my chest. Still tastes pretty decent and the th is enough for me. Plan on going down to 0mg over time.
