I've had the same issue. I stalked elecronicstix.com for their J-tank. Their stock kind-of trickles in so when they posted they had some I snagged one, lol! The J-tank is awesome, I haven't had any issues with leaking or anything like that.

I have the tanks from madvapes. They work well for me. The smaller ones are longer and skinnier than the jtank.

j tanks r by far the best but always sold out....mom and pop they sell just the tank and the seals for 5 bucks whats cool bout them is the tank has a hole which comes with a plastic screw thats how u refill it instead of pushing the carto down u just use a syringe thru the hole.now u can get the carto with it for like ten bucks....mad vapes...altsmoke....diggitalcigzz all have them under 12 bucks
What PV are you using and what cartos do you normally use/like. Different tanks need different size cartos so it helps to you what PV you use and what kind of cartos you like so recommendations are better
i have my Ego from almost a year ago, and i was using them with 1.5 ohm dual coil cartos w/ drip tip
looked at mom n pop but the tanks are 9.49 and well i need a few other things but only wanna order from 1 place, like 1.5 ohm carts for the tank (they are out of them) plus an ego charger, juice

To answer you original question OP, it apparently has something to do with the Chinese New Year. I hear they take a week or so off from work to celebrate it and that production lessens as they get closer to it. So seeing as how yesterday was the beginning of the year of the Dragon (a very popular one in China) I'd say this has something to do with it. I'm not condoning it, I myself have been unable to find a tank locally.

I really like the Mad Vapes carto tanks! The 3.5ml looks and fits great on eGo batts. The 5ml goes well with my Buzz Pros. And no, you do not have to use a flanged carto...
I use the Smoktech 3.5ml tank as well but on an E-Power. Crystal Clear Vaping has them too, but with free shipping so it ends up being cheaper than getting them from Madvapes and paying shipping.
I dont like dualcoils at lower voltages so instead of the dualcoil that comes with the tank, I use a 1.7ohm Ressurector in the tank and they work alot better. CCV sells prepunched Ressurectors too for a good price that have the metal base for the smoktech tanks, but you can just use a regular carto without the metal base too
