Hey all,

First let me give a big THANK YOU to ECF and all it's members who've contributed so much and helped me along my vaping journey. I've been vaping for about 5 months, and though I haven't saved a dime (lol) I haven't smoked any cigarettes either! I've recently started making my own juice and am finding it to be an obsessive hobby, as you can never (seemingly) have enough flavorings. At last count I am up to 84, and I'm still eye-balling about 10 others with fanatical glee :w00t:

I recently gifted myself (based upon the recommendations I found on ECF) a Vamo V2 and upgraded from my plastic clearo's to glass tanks. The Vamo works a treat, and I like being able to zero in on the wattage necessary for a good vape. I plan on trying to build my own coils next and have been scouring the threads and watching the related youtube videos. There's a wealth of information to be found between these 2 sources and there are, I'm sure, countless others. I think it's great that people are so willing to share and that there's a resource like ECF where all of that good info is nicely formatted, and moderated.

So, where are you in your vaping journey?

Canada eh!
I'm in Canada Eh!.

Actually I'm a total noob. 2 Weeks in, but really about 4 days. I ordered a Halo Triton thinking I had found the solution... Well, almost. I did a fair bit of reading (hadn't found the forum yet) and it seemed the Carto was going to be for me. They worked ok at first but I seem to vape them a little too often and I'm not crazy about the polyfill taste, within a day on one of my favorite flavors I guess I burnt the carto. It tasted terrible and I had used the rest of my cartos on other flavors I really didn't like (from a sample pack) :(.

Fortunately I had a buddy who had also ordered a Triton kit and I had him order me a Triton Tank. Took a little over a week to come in, then his tank was great but mine leaked/ seeped like crazy between the chrome piece and bottom of the polycarbonate tank on one side. I glued the crap out of the seam and vaped away. Not a bad experience other than the leak. Sorry Halo the damage was done, plus their stuff is not really compatible with a whole lot else. So 2 orders later, I now have a Kanger EVOD passthrough (battery only) and a couple Protank 2 mini's that should be here tomorrow and an I-taste VV V3 coming the day after with a few I-clear 16's included. Oh yeah, somewhere in there I ordered a Kamry K100 with a Nimbus RDA, which was great for tasting... until I tried to rebuild a coil (cuz I thought I could), with too thick Kanthal, now it seems the nimbus takes a while to heat up and even when it does I cant seem to get a great vape. I'm hoping with a kick, the nimbus will work better. Then sometime next week I should have a Aero Tank and some rebuildable supplies.

Sooo all in all, in two weeks, I've spent more on vaping than I would have on smoking in a month but I soldier on cuz even with all the self inflected challenges, I'm already smoking a little less than half as much as normal (pack n a half a day).

Wish me luck & VAPE ON!!!!

P.S.
I LOVE this stuff.

Welcome.

I think i would call myself a born again vaper. As i quit cigarettes for a few months a year or 2 ago when i purchased my first e-cig (ego-t). Everything was awesome for those 2 months and then when i replaced the plastic tips it just wasnt the same so i relapsed and went back to the real cigs.

With cigarettes going over 10 bucks a pack. Ive been going back and forth between disposables (king njoy, blu, ect) and analogs. then i cam across some videos reviewing these crazy mods that i never knew anything about. Instantly fell in love and knew it was going to be my new hobby. So i went out yesterday and purchased an Itaste VV V3.0 with a protank II.

I still have half a pack of cigarettes left, but today will be my first day cigarette free. I plan on giving my cigarettes away when i get into work today and its going to feel great!!!

I'm with you, xICooRsYIx, as I too had a little over half a pack of smokes when I started and I ended up giving them away. I was going to try to smoke them (hell, I paid for 'em!) but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I smoked one out of the pack and it was so rank and disgusting I began to question just what it was about them that had me hooked for so long. The easy answer, of course, is nicotine, but I'm a slave no more. Not only does everything taste better now, but my clothes and hair don't smell like an ashtray, and neither does my vehicle or my home. Vaping saved me from all of that nastiness and I'm never going back!
