I did an advanced search for "tea," came up with a lot of totally irrelevant results, and one thread in this forum that seemed extremely relevant, but the thread had been closed.

I'm new to all this, just about to order en eRoll (mainly because the OTC e-cigs taste like CRAP), but all the various "tobacco" flavors I've looked at seem to be described as "sweet" or "pipe tobacco," neither of which is what I want -- I'd really like a tobacco flavor that's smooth and just a bit bitter, but that flavor doesn't seem to exist. So it occurred to me that tea might work -- I dearly love rich black tea, I drink Twining's English Breakfast all day and half the night, lightly sweetened, but for a vape, I don't want sweet at all, and I know that unsweetened tea is pretty bitter. But where can I find such a flavor? That thread I found about tea would have been the obvious place to ask, but the thread was closed.

Now if anyone knows of an actual tobacco flavor that's smooth but a touch bitter (and definitely not pipe tobacco!), please tell me where to find it! Otherwise, can someone tell me about an unsweetened black tea flavor?

Thx very much,
Andria

I don't think it would suit at all -- the description mentions "a hint of cream" but the reviews mention sweetness and some say that the cream is overpowering -- I can't even imagine putting cream in tea, that's just icky. I want it BLACK! And though I do put a bit of sugar in the tea I drink, as I said, I do not want ANY sweetness in a vape -- I tried the "Blu" e-cig and the sweet pipe tobacco taste just about gagged me. Had to eat a bunch of chocolate just to get rid of the taste.

Why do all the e-liquids make such a thing about a sweet taste? Cigarette tobacco is NOT sweet -- at least, not Virginia Slims -- Marlboros are much too sweet, but Winstons are really good, rich and bitter. Don't they have any flavors that are especially for folks just ditching cigarettes? I suppose if you've vaped awhile, then going further afield for flavors is a natural consequence, but folks used to the bitter taste of cigarettes need something different. I don't want the taste of Marlboros, Camels, pipe tobacco, or anything like that -- I've smoked Virginia Slims for more than 30 yrs, so I want smooth with a bitter edge. Does that exist, at all???

In despair,
Andria

Tea Your Way - eLiquid Flavor - ECBlend

I Googled "tea e juice" and found this as well as others, good luck.

Maurice Pudlo

This one might work... also I like that it's available in a 5mL size, so I don't have to get alot until I know if I like it. I also like that you can choose the relative amounts of PG/VG in their flavors -- I think I read somewhere that VG is sweeter than PG? Is that true?

Thx!!!!

the alice in vapeland afternoon tea is like tea with milk in it and is sort of sweet so that won't do for what you want, it is nice though.

I haven't had an unsweetened black tea although i'd like to find one too.

i searched and came up with these possibilities

Thx very much... I'll check 'em out, read the reviews and such -- I'm used to doing that kind of research when I buy some expensive appliance or computer toy, so for something that will let me ditch a 39-yr cigarette habit? As the commercial says: "Priceless." :)

Thx!!
Andria

EDIT: PS: It just occurred to me that that would make a really good e-cig commercial, a spoof of the credit card commercial: "personal vaporizer: $X -- flavoring: $X Quitting Smoking: Priceless!" :D

Do they have any that don't have fruit flavors added? I want JUST tea... I've never cared for the taste of tea with fruit in it.

Thx!
Andria

they have with vanilla black tea and also with caramel black pear the pear is not strong
neither would be candy tasting all natural flavor

they do their own extracts and the black tea is top quality

You could always try to extract the actual tea flavor you prefer. A lot of DIY vapers have begun doing tobacco and tea extractions with PG and PGA.

As a new vaper, I understand the task may seem daunting, but it's really only a little more technical and time consuming than making a cup of tea.

Head over to the DIY section and check out some threads regarding extraction.

If worse comes to worst, I'd be willing to make an extract for you using your favorite tea flavor at no cost. I use PG and PGA with a low heat source for tobaccos and flavored teas, myself.

Great idea. Can you think of a chai Tea I can use in an extraction? I like cardamom, cinnamon and bergamot. I wouldn't mind at all paying for your work - priceless.

I checked the reviews at EC Blends for their "tea your way" thing; apparently their Earl Grey is brilliant, and their black tea is crappy. I don't dislike Earl Grey, but it's kind of a once-in-a-blue-moon tea for me; I suck down Twining's English Breakfast tea from the time I get up till the time I go to bed, and I spend the extra money to get that because American tea just has no "bouquet" at all -- the Twining's english breakfast tea is almost like incense, the bouquet is so rich --drinking it with a really good blueberry muffin is a rare treat. The box says it's a blend of black teas from Kenya and "Assam," wherever that is; I've never even heard of it.

At the moment I'm inclined to give up on a tea flavor; no one seems to have any tea flavors that aren't sweetened to some degree. I definitely put a little sugar in it when I'm drinking it, but for this, I'd really prefer it "straight." What I really want is the tannic flavor.

A friend of mine make their tea like this::

Tea flavors are amazingly easy to make yourself. Just take some unflavored e-juice, warm it in a glass jar for 10 seconds in the microwave, and drop in the teabag of your choice. Place the jar in a warm bath for 20 minutes. The longer you leave the tea bag in, the stronger the flavor. When you're done steeping, pull out the teabag and squeeze it into the batch so you don't waste any juice - then toss it in the trash
