where did the classifieds thread go?

We have now put a 'placeholder' down there in the Buying & Selling section, so that people can see where the Classifieds section is and what they need to do to get access.
It has taken a lot of work by j0ker, OS and their team to get the new system running well. There might still be a couple of tweaks that need doing, if so we'll find them as we go. I think putting that placeholder in was probably the last biggie though.
The new system fixes something that was becoming a real problem: people coming here to rip off members. Like any security efforts, it always means more restriction; but eventually you can't ignore the problems any longer and have to do something. The new Classifieds is a big improvement in many ways, instead of the old freestyle system that sometimes led to chaos, the new form-based arrangements mean things are nicely organized.
The only downside is the removal of access to anyone/everyone, but that's the way it goes. As your village grows into a large town and then a giant city, the day comes that you can't leave your front door open and unlocked any longer.
