OK, I want to find out if this is just me or if other folks have the same problem.

First, let me say that I am a coffee fiend. I drink it (a lot), I eat coffee ice cream and candies, I drink coffee liquors and cocktails, et al.

I must have now tried 10 different coffee juices and the same thing ALWAYS happens. The first 3-4 vapes are heavenly, and then BAM no more coffee flavor! It just seems to go away and it's like I'm vaping unflavored nic juice. What the #%&*@!?

Does any one else have this going on, and if so, what could possibly cause it?

Thanx

Doesn't seem to really matter much what device. I've tried cartos, carto tank, direct drip RBA, clearos, 306 atty dripper, 510 atty dripper, pretty much you name it.

I've used eGos, my own VV 14500 mod, Kicked Bolt, Lambo VV V2, so voltage/watts doesn't seem to matter either.

I have no problem with other flavors. So, where did the coffee go? LOL

I've notice with some flavors, after a short time my taste buds seem to get use to them or get fried on certain flavors. If I put them down for awhile and come back a few days or weeks later the flavor is much more instense. I have also noticed if I rinse with mouth wash really well, flavors sudden pop again. Perhaps these flavors are getting stuck on the taste buds and muting the flavor experience?

I've had the same thing happen to me, although not on as large of a scale. I also love coffee to a maniacal extent. One of the first things I wanted to do when I started vaping was get the coffee thing sorted. I sampled a couple of coffee flavors at a local B&M that tasted absolutely amazing and picked up bottles of each. After I got them home and loaded them into cartos, the first few vapes were awesome and I really thought I'd found my go-to coffee liquids. Sadly, after a few minutes they both went flat and acidic on me. I tried them in stardusts, a vivi, on a dripping atty and a couple ml or so of one went into my genny to try the SS on it. Same deal on everything. Great for a little while, then it goes bad.

I ordered another coffee from a different source and the same thing happened. I don't know what the deal is with it, but there are so many more juices out there to try that I've just backburnered the coffee thing for now.

This might be what the OP is experiencing. I tend to change out flavors frequently throughout the day, as any flavor used continuously can appear to become muted as our taste buds become over-saturated with just one.

I would recommend alternating with another entirely different kind of flavor to try to keep from over-saturating the taste buds.

A few coffee flavors that I love:

Vaperite - Organic Kona Cream and Organic Double Espresso (both require steep time, but are available pre-steeped for minimal additional fee).

Virgin Vapors - Organic Kona Velvet Milkshake and Organic Dark Roast Coffee.

Copper Creek - Coffee and House Blend

If you like a little sweetness and cream flavor added, I use MyFreedomSmokes.com Sweet Cream e-liquid.

Thanx Tralfaz...at least I'm not the ONLY one, lol. I've done pretty much the same thing, just using other flavors and really enjoying all of the extracted tobacco choices out there right now (and fruit flavors, as well). Even better the fruit laced tobacco flavors. Just got a GREAT one - Black & Black (black and blueberry tobacco base) from S&S MODS (www.sandsmods.com). Note: You may want to try Grumpy's Hooch from them as well, a very close resemblance to Bobas Bounty (only more flavor due to the 50/50 mix).

Byten & Baditude...It's not that I vape coffee flavors too much and wear out my buds, I just get a few vapes and the flavor is gone ! If I vape OTHER flavors for too long at a time, then yeah - the flavor can start to go dead on me.

After a bit more experimentation, I think that the only coffees I've tried that don't go flat are flavored ones. I'm really not a fan of flavored coffees as I like to buy my beans as fresh as possible and grind them right before steeping. The only sweetness I like in my cups comes from a splash of half and half. I don't really think a pure coffee essence can stand up to the heat from the coil in an atomizer or on a wick. Reheated coffee tastes terrible to me.

The only coffee so far that hasn't gone flat on me right away has been Caramelized Cappuccino from Vermillion River and I'm pretty certain that it's just because of the burnt caramel flavor. It ends up tasting more like crème brûlée than cappuccino and that's not a bad taste at all.
