How many of you recommending the Provari have tried anything other than it?

I have cig-a-likes and X2's [ego style with 808 connection].

I'm not really recommending the Provari just agreeing with another poster:) I don't think I have the knowledge it would take to do much comparisons of products. I leave that to some of the others.

I really like the AGA and have had really good luck with it. There was actually a video posted that would have been perfect when I first opened my AGA-T+ up. Actually it is still good to make reference to. Check this out

Stainless Steel Wick Tutorial - YouTube

i just stick with the standard res single coil cartos, and i vape away at 4.7-5.2 volts, depending on how dangerous i feel. with the vivi novas-or any wick based tank system, i don't have as much luck-i almost always get a burnt taste, and those tanks kind of stink after the half full mark-you gotta do the dip/twist move. with carto tanks, i fill 'er up, and i'm good to go-all the way down to the last bit of juice...almost. i'm hooked on the carto tank tip big time. i have a couple of rebuilds (a few did clones, and an aga), but i have had ZERO luck getting them to work. some day...

i will say this-a bold or a bombshell stinger with a kick is a pretty good switch-out for my pro vari, though. it's a different vape entirely...the kick lives up to it's reputation. great little tool!

i tried a bunch of stuff. an ego, a twist, a bolt, a stinger, a udt v6, a lava tube knock of, an apollo mini...a couple of box mods, and a few i'm forgetting, i'm sure. all good devices in their own right. the provari isn't the only device i use, but it is the only device i use all the time.

I have. I love my Opus. I had a LavaTube 2 which was nice till I dropped it and it decided to go all sideways on me. I have dropped my ProVari (major heart palpitation there) and not a scratch, no issues whatsoever.

Ok. :) I was just thinking that these days there are many quality products out there. The "old way" was a blanket recommendation.

Sorry I intended to reply with the quote referring to how many have tried products other than Provari. .

I actually went a year before using the Provari. During this time I tried MANY different kits. I was very close to a vape shop owner at the time and was able to try anything I wanted. They then started selling a mod that was 7.4v stacked batteries. It was amazing but not reliable. It would blow out the atty's that were "supposed" to work with it anywhere from 1 hour to 3 days later. It was too much to maintain. Then a customer came in with a Provari one day. I tried it as he had a new flavor in it that I had not tried before. After this I learned more about the Provari about the owners. Pretty much once you buy one of those you are done. No one at that time and I assume still today is authorized to sell the Provari except for ProVape themselves. I actually have an entire box of old kits the cheap 101, 510, ego, ego-t, ego-w, tank mod, HV tube (cannot recall the name), 801, all different sizes of batteries, passthroughs the list goes on and on.
I could not stay satisfied with any of the ones I owned for more than a few days. They lacked consistency and the maintenance was beginning to be endless. Batteries dying, shorting out, leaking, on and on and on.
Personally I required a strong TH, lots of vapor and something that can keep up with my continual vaping.
I have dumped a LOT of money in different setups trying to find the perfect one before I finally ordered the Provari.
I will say that to say this. True if I would have ordered the Provari from the start I would have saved a lot of money. What is also true is if I would have ordered Provari from the beginning I would not have had a clue as to what to do with it lol.

NOTE: I am not speaking ill of any of the other setups. As some are perfect for beginners just getting their feet wet in the vape world. I am only speaking of my personal preferences.

Iv got a reomini which works well with off the charger batteries but has its issues powering a LR306 sometimes because of the 14500's limits. The Vari is sweet because of all the whistles and bells. The boost circuit is better than a mod with a regulator and stacked batteries.. But the main drawback for the vari for me is the inability to run low ohm rba's. In fact its difficult running LR306's and shows a few atty's are shorted but they work fine on the reo. Just wish I could boost the voltage on the reo without stacking with their VVgrand. I would seriously consider a mechanical mod if you want the run low ohm rba's. Im looking for a heavy duty one now. I tried a few ego twists w/ce4's but they gave dry burnt hits.. Iv got EVOD MT's, Vapeonly 3.5ml BCC's coming to replace the ce4's

That's awesome, but do you have any newer vv/vw mods like the Sigelei ZMax, eVic, V8, GSub, Wildfire, etc?

What bells and whistles make it stand apart?

No I don't. The reason is I am beyond satisfied with my Provari. So much so I ordered another just this month. So I know have two identical provaris just in different colors lol. I love the customer service, the fact they stand behind their product and it is a U.S.A. company. Not saying that they are the only vendor with all of these things available as I simply do not know.
Over that period I have learned what I wanted and required from a e-cig and Provari delivers. I have dropped this thing so many times and have kids - it is not handled with extreme caution. It continues to hold it's own.

I ask this out of curiosity as I am fairly new to the RBA world. What low ohm RBA have you tried with the Provari that will not run?

So you have no APV experience besides the Provari? It's awesome that it works so well!

I began vaping and quit smoking with Smokeless Image Volts and Volt X2's (eGo size equivalent), and the progession into mods went as follows: mechanicals Silver Bullet and BB from Altsmoke, a Provari, Smoktech VV Gripper, and a Segelei/Ovale V8.

My favorite: the Provari hands down.

Have you tried your V8 with an RBA dripper? Clouds! It's amazing.
